Core features

Really like app but core features not as reliable as in official one. App loosing position datapoints on backflip after each reconnect, long sync on all open. Waiting for MeshCore integration.

Awesome stuff!

I was getting extremely frustrated with the UI in the Meshtastic app, to the point where I almost gave up on Meshtastic completely. But SocialMesh saved the day and completely changed my experience! Ended up paying the $9.99 for the upgraded experience, and it was worth every penny to me. But even the free version is a huge step-up from the official Meshtastic app. Highly recommend!

Charged twice for complete pack!

I like the app but I got charged initially $9.99 for the complete pack and then a few days later another charger went through for $10.71. It appears the first charge was bogus. Not sure what’s going on here but there doesn’t seem to be a recourse here except to dispute the charge on the credit card. Not happy!!

If you have an Apple receipt or transaction IDs, please include those too. We’ll look into exactly what happened.

Спасибо за отзыв и за подробности. Зависание при запуске - серьёзная проблема, и мы как раз работаем над исправлениями стабильности запуска; часть уже вышла в 1.55.0, остальное выйдет в ближайшем обновлении. Пожалуйста, обновите приложение в App Store - обновление ставится поверх и не трогает ваши данные. Если после обновления приложение всё ещё не запускается, напишите на developer@socialmesh.app - разберёмся. По поводу времени, которое плавает по поясам: мы это проверяем. Если можете, пришлите на ту же почту пример - какое время показано у сообщения и каким оно должно быть. Это сильно ускорит поиск причины. Спасибо, что при всём этом поставили четыре звезды.

Tbh, I’d buy group licenses for this, maybe offer 10-20 person license packs or something; where x number of people can use premoum features if someone buys a more expensive license key. Cool how you can buy with Stripe as well.

Not a fan of actually logging in, so probably will perpetually use the guest account thing; no data collected and optionally a choice to have no cloud/profile stuff would be cool. App store listing says data isn’f collected but the app has opt-out analytics by default which don’t align with such. Dev would be best off having those disabled by default and perhaps having one or two total ever prompts asking users to turn on analytics, so you actually get meaningful consent.

Oh, your app is fantastic by the way. Incredible implementation with pleasant ui and ux.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and detailed feedback. Really appreciate both the kind words and the criticism. You’re absolutely right that SocialMesh should feel genuinely privacy-respecting, especially for people who prefer guest mode and local-first/offline-first usage. I’m currently working on changes to move analytics/diagnostics to an explicit opt-in model rather than opt-out, with clearer consent and better separation between crash diagnostics and product analytics. Guest mode and optional cloud/profile usage are also areas I want to continue improving and clarifying. The group/community licensing idea is also excellent and honestly fits the mesh community model really well, so that’s something I’m actively exploring for future releases. Thanks again for taking the time to write such a constructive review, and for the kind words about the UI/UX and implementation. It genuinely means a lot.

Спасибо за отзыв! 😊 Проблема с перегревом iPhone во время работы приложения уже была значительно улучшена в последних обновлениях. Мы провели оптимизацию фоновых процессов и общего энергопотребления приложения. Пожалуйста, обновите приложение до последней версии в App Store.

После обновления чаще падет приложение и теряет связь с нодой, исправьте! И отключил виджет последних сообщений повторное включение требует купить функции🤣

Don’t use this app or it’ll burn your phone

I forgot to turn off this app from background mode. The phone heated up all night and by the morning it was so hot that it was impossible to pick up.

Thanks for flagging that. There was a mismatch in v1.37.0 where the Recent Messages widget shipped on the default dashboard for every new user, but the Add Widget picker treated it as a paid widget. That meant if you removed it, you could see a paywall when trying to add it back, even though you never had to purchase it in the first place. That was not intentional. I’ve fixed this for the next release so Recent Messages is free for everyone, matching the default-dashboard behaviour. Once you update, you’ll be able to re-add it without a purchase prompt.

This app raises at the bar

This app really raises the bar as a Meshtastic client for iOS. It’s compatible with the standard Meshtastic firmware and devices, and the user experience is really great. I am sold.

Its works well

I wrote a pretty favorable review for this app and got censored by Apple. No idea why. This app will add to understanding of your local Meshtastic network. There are a lot of tools and views. It takes some pressing around to discover them all. 3d maps could use a North pip to orient.
Team map integration would be awesome. Really good overall.

Не отключаются пуши для каналов. В последнем обновлении якобы поправили это и даже добавили для каждого канала возможность отключения, но они все равно не отключаются. Получается, перед релизом даже не в состоянии проверить, работает ли так, как ожидается.

Спасибо за подробный отзыв, это действительно помогает. Проблема с уведомлениями для каналов действительно была в более ранних версиях, включая 1.21.0. После этого поведение было исправлено и доработано. Пожалуйста, обновите приложение до последней версии, там управление уведомлениями работает корректно и более предсказуемо. Если после обновления проблема всё ещё сохраняется, дайте знать, разберёмся детально. Спасибо, что сообщили об этом.

Seems decent, but..

..no option to switch the app language per application basis. Please consider adding it. Localisation sucks in fact.

Meshtastic overlay

Seems very nice and powerfull modern gui but for some reason packets sent from this device are not seen in the meshtastic app. Otherwise it is pretty cool.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Packet visibility between different apps can depend on firmware versions, channel configs, and routing behaviour. We’re actively improving interoperability and diagnostics so this becomes clearer and more reliable.
