Yes full access to all locations is paid 🙂 The platform simply couldn’t exist without funding the research, updates and development behind it. Google is great, but you’ll struggle to find many of these spots, let alone exact coordinates, access, difficulty, facilities, signal & safety info - all instantly in one place. Plus, a portion supports environmental charities 🌏

Just to clarify - there are no hidden fees. Lifetime unlocks the map forever, including new locations we continue adding. Think of it like buying a guidebook and getting every future edition included 😂 If lifetime isn’t for you, yearly works out at just over $4/month - less than a coffee! ☕️

$9.99 is the monthly option, yes - but yearly works out at around $4/month (less than a coffee!), and lifetime is available too 😊 As for cheaper apps offering the same thing, we’d genuinely love to know which! We’re not aware of another platform combining our number of curated locations, detailed information, discovery tools & community in one app 👀

Full access is paid, yes - hundreds of hours go into researching and verifying locations, providing detailed information, adding new spots and maintaining the app. That simply couldn’t exist for free. We do include free locations so you can explore the app before deciding to join 🙂
They even cover the UK!
I would love them to add South East Asia and places like that but the amount they are travelling and the work they are putting in I am happy to wait - just a personal choice and who knows, by the time I get through all these ones it may happen 🤣 - PS love the videos and content

Thanks for the feedback! We completely understand that everyone would prefer free access. The reality is that researching and verifying hundreds of locations, providing detailed information, continually adding new spots and maintaining the app takes hundreds of hours and significant ongoing investment. For Sole Drift to exist and keep improving, it has to be funded. We could fill the app with advertising instead, but we’d rather offer a clean, quick and easy experience built around planning adventures - not watching ads. We’re also proud that a portion of our profits goes towards environmental charities helping protect the places we all love to explore 🌎

Sole Drift does offer free locations, but full access is a paid product - much like purchasing a travel guidebook in a shop. What makes Sole Drift different is the hundreds of hours of research behind it. Our members get access to hundreds of carefully researched locations, with exact coordinates and detailed information such as hike distance, duration, difficulty, facilities, phone reception, safety notes and more - all designed to take the research out of finding your next adventure. There’s a significant cost involved in researching, building and continually improving the platform, and we’re also proud to donate a portion of our profits to environmental charities helping protect the places we love to explore 🌿
