Great in theory

Great in theory but what a mess. I’ve been locked out of the app, unable to access funds and now the Solo account I signed up to doesn’t work or exists. Customer support is during business hours when most small businesses are hustling. Maybe it’s teething issues?

Difficult

I have selected No GST. It keeps adding GST to my invoice, I’m not happy with the app,

DO NOT USE

Cannot cancel subscription without contacting their support.

They won’t answer calls outside of 9-7AEST, meaning it’s near impossible to cancel. I tried calling inside these hours and yet still their “cancelation team was not available”.

Proceeded to hang up on me. Outrageous.

Disappointing product

Auto match doesn’t consistently work and account numbers don’t update to client list. Support is disappointing. Read terms and conditions made me pay for an extra year 3x the price of retail offers.

Does what it says on the tin

I use it to manage my expenses, works well. All I need and nothing I don’t.

Terrible - AVOID

Horrible support, could not use it. Tried cancelling within 2 hrs of getting it and they make you call, waited on hold 2 hrs and then was told I won’t get a refund for the annual subscription I paid. AVOID!

User feedback

Great and easy to use via the mobile platform. I just wish it could be accessed on a laptop or PC as well.

A no Brainer

If you own a small business, this app is a no brainer. I have ADHD and struggled so much trying to keep tabs of receipts and invoices. This does it all for me. Absolutely awesome and thank you MYOB for making it affordable 🙏🏽

Don’t do it

Expect zero support except bad AI if you can’t make a call. There are limited features this was a bad experience for me as a small business owner. Really think about it before you spend the money. This wasn’t for me.

Report can be more essential

The app runs well. But if the developer can adjust the report setting. Like we need to show ABN on the report. There only showed the business name and some details. That’s not enough. Hope you can improve it.

If only I had known, The only way to cancel is to call them. They have really long phone call times, I tried to cancel via web online support as mentioned in one of the App Store review responses by MYOB, but they said you can only call to cancel. Complete waste of time!!

What an awful, underdeveloped app

I tried out Solo because I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Rounded. Sadly, this app isn’t ready for market. It doesn’t have any way to import prior invoices or transactions, making it virtually useless for existing freelancers unless you’re starting from scratch. It’s only available on phone/tablet, which makes it difficult to view and edit full-size invoices; even on an iPad, you can’t expand the app to full screen or use an in-line editor. Finally, you have to CALL them on the phone to cancel, and I was on hold for around an hour, making the $12 intro offer feel less like a trial than a trap. Don’t be fooled by the low price. The alternatives might be more expensive, but at least they’re fit for purpose.

Solo is built to keep the work-work simple, which is why it’s a mobile-only experience. If you need that desktop option, it’s on the shortlist for 2026. Can’t connect bank account

What an absolute waste of time and money. For 2 months, I’ve tried to connect my bank account. All the data sharing requirements have been enabled but it still can’t find the bank account making this subscription absolutely useless and unusable. Can’t get any help of course and you get these awful useless responses from the horrible chat bot built by the same horrible dev team that built this useless app.

Not useful for me

Worst app experience for me.
You can’t even create a proper quote, which defeats the purpose of using an invoicing app. The description limit is only 255 characters, which is completely impractical for real jobs. On top of that, there’s no way to easily view past invoices.

Very limited features and frustrating to use. Definitely not suitable for anyone who needs detailed job descriptions or proper record-keeping.

Trash

The app is trash. Super buggy transactions just magically reappear over and over again even after being deleted. You get what you pay for. Absolute minimum amount of work has been put into this app.

Would not recommend

Not actually that helpful as an app and you can’t cancel your subscription without calling them during business hours. For an app only set up, there should be the option to cancel in-app or online

$12 debt collection

I signed up for the app whilst looking for a suitable accounting solution. I used it 1 day and put through my card details as they had a promotion of $12 for a year. I thought given it’s an online platform, the payment would be debited immediately. I normally don’t have money on that card except in that moment. Now I’ve received an email saying they will put my account for collections which would lower credit score if I do not pay the $12. There is no way to cancel the subscription without calling their contact centre. If this how they treat their customers, I’m glad I chose QuickBooks Self-Employed over this. Terrible experience by a money-hungry company with no regard for customer service.

Had issues with ID verification process. Customer service are
Absolutely useless, couldn’t sort out my issue and kept closing my case because “it wasn’t their department” helpline directs you to an ai powered chat room which is equally as useless. DON’T BUY!!!
