This is supposed to be Somerset Live bit there is always so called news from outside the area. And who the hell is Peter Andre?? Nearly every day there’s trashy click bait about him or similar. Could be so much better. I’d prefer less content but of higher quality than pages bulked out with irrelevant rubbish

Frustration at most times!!
The problem is you just cannot connect and read a news story without a glitch, break up, break down, or some other tiresome, frustrating interruption. Also, why do you employ reporters who cannot spell even the most mediocre words, why, why? Did they not learn English at school? What a disappointment of a website!!

The new app layout is not bad but the comments section does not work plus live updates doesn’t show the time reverence anymore
The worst kind of sensationalism
I added this app in the hope of news in Somerset. Instead I get the worst kind of sensational journalism. This has now reached the point where I have to call a halt and delete Somerset Live from my phone. Otherwise I fear for my mental health as obviously I live in a county plagued by heatwaves ( banner headline last week - it is actually dull and wet), continual horrific accidents ( that get cleared in an hour or so) and terrible crime. Enough! The level of negativity simply jeopardises everyone’s happiness. So goodbye Somerset Live and hopefully you will one day find something happy somewhere.

Useless since update.
Can’t even use the app as the stories have been blown up and you can only see a few words from each line and no way of zooming out.
I wanted news from my area but will be deleting the app instead.

I love the Somerset news app , lots of variety and plenty of updates on local issues.
Waste of time
Don’t get this app if u like to comment on articles etc, I have tried & tried but all I get is “oops something went wrong”. Useless

To many adverts. Poor story telling . And to many notifications and then hunting for articles
Clickbait poor journalism
Get that local news outlets struggle to find writers these days but the "journalism" here is so poor. Appalling grammar, amateur writing and really weak stories. Plus the endless ads and cheap clickbait. Really disappointing. Seek local news elsewhere if you can.
Lacking
This so called “ Somerset “ Live app is unbelievably disappointing!! Embellished stories, irrelevant out of county news ,& a mind twisting amount of annoying Ads. Traffic news is it’s only redeeming feature.

Moved from northeast England with super local news to this ! Such a heavy Advert centric the articles take pages and pages to read. The notifications are turned off, and off, and off but back they come Day in day out only option will be deleting app, have given it a fair chance -it should be so good

Ruined by seriously invasive interface
Lots of good local news teasers followed by a seriously flawed schizophrenic interface. Had enough visual abuse - I wonder what nutter developed this - having worked in IT for over 40 years I am shocked by this HMI - Bye

Does Somerset Live know where Somerset is . The map of storms says ‘most of Somerset’ but the south and west is not covered.

There are a couple of things that bug me about this app:
1) the amount of ads in the content. Ok I get it that they have to receive revenue but sometimes between every rotten paragraph?
2) this annoys me the most. I receive a notification. I tap it. It opens the app and then opens Safari and shows me the story in Safari. Why bother with the app?

Adverts app
Mostly adverts, some interesting story's with several adds breaking up paragraphs which degrades the overall quality of the app and the writers content.
Accept ads are needed to keep it free but its ads over content, driving the outcome that is a money maker not a serious news/information outlet
If you want local news would look for the local press rather than this ad lead app. Now deleted from my phone!
