Only opens for a second then crashes. I got this iPad for this app only .. dang hope they patch this soon .."....
Doesn’t work on iPhone
App crashes immediately on trying to connect so it’s useless . This product shouldn’t be sold until it can actually be used. Only way to use this as a depth sounder is to throw the sounder in the water and measure the cable after the sounder hits the bottom.
Bud fixes required
Works fine connecting to my old iphoge7 iOS 15.8.3 but can’t connect with my iPhone 13 running iOS 18.3.2. Only way for it to work at the moment is as slave through the old iPhone 7. I like this fish finder and will keep using if the bugs are fixed.
Doesn’t connect to iPhone
It used to connect but now it won’t. Tried everything from SE to 14. Of course it happens on the biggest fishing trip of the year

This app does not work on my iPhone, it crashes when I try and establish matter connection—rendering the hardware purchase useless.

I do not think I would be a vexilar product again that is going to be associated with my smart phone. It is obvious that they do not try to support their products or customers.
No updates
Not updated for 3 years does not work on iOS 18
Waste of time
I could not get the first unit to work with either my iPhone or iPad after a number of calls to tech support. I got a replacement and still could not get the unit to work with 4 different devices and more calls to the manuf. AND I had to pay for the return shipping. Waste of time and money
Text on settings
The text on the settings is white on a white background now. Can no longer read what setting is for what. Any updates on why????
Outdated
I have the iPhone 11 and the app looks old. I have hard time reading the top and bottom because it doesn’t fit right on the screen.

Navionics
This app seem useless if you need to use your iPad in landscape mode. It will only open in vertical mode, won’t let you do the iPads own split screen function, and it doesn’t seem to connect to the navionics app at all. Everything online said I should be able to see depth while on my navionics app but no such luck so far. Worried I just wasted $150

It doesn’t work at all
Don’t waste the storage on ur phone for this it tells me when I’m on land that I’m on water and it is deep and if u watch the sonar is shows the same pattern

Today, I’m Trying To Find A Lacrosse Ball Using A Net In A Pond, So If You Want To Get Extremely Wet Or Die Trying To Hunt A Ball Go Ahead, So I Was Searching For A Sonar App To Find The Ball, Then I Concluded This App Was A Hoax.... I Stood In On Position And The It Was Showing It Getting Deeper. Fakest App I Have Ever Used.

Set up for success
I have a few setups that require the app. Works great every time. Runs parallel with navionics.
Highly recommend, incredible value!!
Completely changed my review from 2 stars to 4. I now highly recommend this app. Important trick, you can drag from the gain arrow buttons in any direction to make them behave like a slider, but only in the direction of the button you initially touched. If you use SonarPhone with the Navonics app, you have the best value in boating/fishing electronics period. The interface still needs a lot of work but I can now live with it. The only big omission now is no real time only display. Come on Vexilar, give me a five star update soon.
Update: with the real time bar now bigger and color coded I really love this app and product. This is something I asked for and they said they would do it and they did. So why not five stars yet? The interface is still not great. It would be so much better if they just used the built in iOS interfaces for the menus. For example when changing chart speed if you want to go from say 60% to 100% you have to make four large swipes where with the iOS selection wheels you could do it in one simple slide. Good thing menu items aren't frequently changed though so…

Overall good app and product!
I am very pleased with the product and the app that comes with it is nice. The app has good functionality and just like it says gives you the visual display like higher priced depth finders. Having the ability to use more than one device at a time is also a nice feature. It seems somewhat laggy at times but overall it is minor when it occurs. The app seems older looking but that is understandable due to older and other devices that can run it which is nice that i can use my old iPhone 4 when my 6s plus runs out of battery or just as a backup. I give this app a 2 thumbs up overall and a 4 star rating. 👍👍

Good App Good device Watch app needed
I think the biggest improvement to this app would be the addition of the Apple Watch app that displays depth

The box will connect but not stay connected. It has frustrated me for to seasons now.
