Sonooos

Much better. New tab based ui is significant improvement. More intuitive, fewer taps required for various actions. What has taken so long though? So looong. Why don’t you just rush poorly tested updates?

J’aime votre système de son.
Malheureusement pas toujours fiable. Des fois, UN ou DES hauts-parleurs arrêtent de jouer, alors qu’il apparaît dans mon application comme étant présent et fonctionnel.

Not improved

Just as bad as when I last tried to use this forsaken app to set up my Beam. I’m treating this as an educational experience to never again use any of their products.

Unnecessarily complicated

What a dumb app. Such unclear directions. I’d rather just play the speaker connect with Bluetooth and it’s done. But not with Sonos.
It’s unfortunate

Clunky

Really good speakers but for amount of money you pay for them you’d think there would be a decent app to go with them. It does drop out a lot. The option to play music saved in your phone was removed. Also there is no info from the Sonos app on your phone lock screen - I believe Apple removed this as well.

Never again will I buy another Sonos component

I bought two Sonos Roam one after another to pair as my desktop speakers. Every time I open the app the speakers disconnect from wifi and Sonos can’t find products. I’ve had enough of troubleshooting over and over again for about 4 months now. I feel robbed and trust and faith destroyed.
I’m going to sell them on eBay if I can.

Thanks forb adding the + / - feature to the volume… it was previously annoying inaccurate and cumbersome on iPhone… now perfect! A+ Sonos team!

Can’t connect to Spotify

To be honest, I rarely use this app because almost every time I do, something doesn't work.
Recently, the app lost its connection to Spotify. I tried reauthorizing it multiple times, but it simply doesn't work. On Spotify's side, I can see that Sonos has been granted access, but the Sonos app keeps saying, "Something went wrong."

Audio cuts in and out

July 16, 2026 update: The audio drops continue to be a chronic problem. As a result, it is essentially useless as a multi-speaker setup.

Audio playback continues to not sync amongst multiple speakers. Music is chronically cutting in and out from the speakers to the point where it is unusable.

It has been two years since the new software and firmware stack and this is still not fixed. Not only do I not recommend Sonos, I am considering my speakers.

Sonos must fix this issue.

Will not connect

Sonos has been great. For some reason this newest update completely ruins the reason for me having these speakers. It will not connect over WiFi on any of my Sonos speakers. This needs to be fixed promptly
