Misnomer

The name of the app is a lie, the sorting function doesn’t work.
The controls (sort, add cards, change games) are all hidden behind a glitchy bar at the bottom of the screen that randomly chooses not to appear. The **sort** function is useless, you can press a button but **literally nothing** happens to cards.
There is a single redeeming feature that keeps this from being 0 stars, and that’s the important feature that automatically makes all your old folders from the previous app populate and sorts all the cards back in minutes.

Hi Masodenson! Thanks for the feedback. Glad the process of importing cards from the Dragon Shield apps worked well for you. Regarding the sorting issue you pointed out, that is not normal. If I'm understand correctly, the sorting order is not changing after you click "Apply" on the top right corner of the screen? Could you reach out to us through support@tcgsorted.com and include a couple screenshots or a screen recording of what you are seeing so we can find the issue faster?

Prefer the old app.

Why are artifacts above creatures, and planeswalkers and sorceries below lands? When I say organize by type, alphabetically, that doesn’t mean card type. It should go Creatures, planeswalkers, instants, sorceries, artifacts, enchantments, lands. ALWAYS. Then go alphabetically within those groupings. Also the lack of being able to have friends and see their collection is a huge bummer. The app is also just super plain and bland. Where’s the colors and the fun fonts and having an actual profile with fun badges and all that stuff. It’s so drab and lifeless. Dragonshield, why would you do this to us?

Response from developer

Hi Sailor Hairy! Thank you for the detailed feedback. On sorting by type: we hear what you're saying, it makes a lot of sense, and we're taking it back to the team to evaluate the change! On friends and seeing collections: we know it's a feature many of you love, and it's something we're working to bring to Sorted. We also hear you on wanting more personality, like profiles, badges, and a bit more color. We know moving from another app is tough, and our goal is for Sorted to grow into an experience that carries forward what you loved about the Dragon Shield apps and goes further. If you have more suggestions or feedback, reach us anytime at support@tcgsorted.com or on our Discord!

The worse TCG App

This app is complete junk. The amount of heat pouring off my phone when I use the app is just ridiculous (brand new iPhone). When searching your collections via text you have to type each letter very slowly. Type too fast and not all the letters will appear. Also unable to use the space bar when searching your collections (no problem when adding cards via text). Don’t waste your time as there are plenty of good TCG apps out there.

Response from developer

Hi Thisthingisalie! Sorry about this - the search behaviour you're describing (dropped letters when typing fast, no space bar in collection search) is not intended, and we're looking into it. The overheating isn't expected either. Could you email support@tcgsorted.com with your device model and iOS version, and a screen recording of the search issue if you can manage it? That would help us fix it faster.

Many Bugs. App Needs Work

Imported account from dragon shield. The ui is an improvement but there are bugs and some features function worse than the old app. The scanner seems to work fine and having more TCG options in a single app is nice.

My inventory shows duplicate cards when I scroll down the list and often fails to load at all or refreshes after I scroll down a bit. It seems like this happens when it’s trying to load the advertisements that are now shown every few rows. There are way more ads on this new application than the old one (why are there even ads in my inventory folder at all?).

Some cards I searched for were not populating but this issue was present in both this app and dragon shield. For example I could not locate some of the new first partner collection cards. They have been out for a few weeks but maybe they are too new?

Also you now cannot even view your inventory without an internet connection. I double checked and confirmed the old dragon shield app loaded my inventory while my phone was in airplane mode but the new app doesn’t have this feature and requires internet. I have been to several shows with bad/slow internet and it would be very convenient to still be able to look at my cards.

I would also like it if the language and condition properly reflected in the price charting for each card. Maybe that can be added in a future update.

I’ll check back to see how this app improves in the future and update my review as needed, but this seems like a step backwards from the old Dragon Shield app.

Response from developer

Hi BananaLaffyyTaffyy! Thanks for taking the time to write this up in detail. The duplicate cards and failed loading while scrolling is not expected and we'll investigate. On the ads: they're made by our team and only promote features within Sorted, but we've noted that placing them inside collection lists is disruptive. Offline access isn't supported right now - that was a deliberate trade-off for faster sync and updates - but we have noted the feedback. Condition- and language-specific pricing is on our radar too. If you can send your device model and iOS version to support@tcgsorted.com, plus the names of the First Partner cards you couldn't find, we'll chase both the loading/duplicate cards issues you mentioned and the database gap.

Not a good app.

It’s impossible for move the folders around and organize them the way you want so i’m stuck with the pokemon card and mtg card files ordered in a random order(like the files I have for sets are in a random order). Also certain cards just cause your app not to be able to scroll in the folder. I ran into this problem with Baldur’s gate cards. Not happy dragon shield is moving to this app. I might have to figure something else out because this app had no thought put into it.

Hi ehhsixbdkebsnsx! Thanks for the feedback. You can actually reorder your folders and customize how they are organized. Just click the game name on the bar at the bottom of the screen while you are in the Folders view, then activate "Display custom order" and edit the custom order to what you prefer! Regarding the cards that cause your folders to not be scrollable, that is definitely an issue - could you reach out to support@tcgsorted.com with some additional info - what folders/cards are having this problem, some screenshots, and your account email? That way we can look into what might be going on!
