Misnomer

The name of the app is a lie, the sorting function doesn’t work.
The controls (sort, add cards, change games) are all hidden behind a glitchy bar at the bottom of the screen that randomly chooses not to appear. The **sort** function is useless, you can press a button but **literally nothing** happens to cards.
There is a single redeeming feature that keeps this from being 0 stars, and that’s the important feature that automatically makes all your old folders from the previous app populate and sorts all the cards back in minutes.

Hi Masodenson! Thanks for the feedback. Glad the process of importing cards from the Dragon Shield apps worked well for you. Regarding the sorting issue you pointed out, that is not normal. If I'm understand correctly, the sorting order is not changing after you click "Apply" on the top right corner of the screen? Could you reach out to us through support@tcgsorted.com and include a couple screenshots or a screen recording of what you are seeing so we can find the issue faster?

Prefer the old app.

Why are artifacts above creatures, and planeswalkers and sorceries below lands? When I say organize by type, alphabetically, that doesn’t mean card type. It should go Creatures, planeswalkers, instants, sorceries, artifacts, enchantments, lands. ALWAYS. Then go alphabetically within those groupings. Also the lack of being able to have friends and see their collection is a huge bummer. The app is also just super plain and bland. Where’s the colors and the fun fonts and having an actual profile with fun badges and all that stuff. It’s so drab and lifeless. Dragonshield, why would you do this to us?

Response from developer

Hi Sailor Hairy! Thank you for the detailed feedback. On sorting by type: we hear what you're saying, it makes a lot of sense, and we're taking it back to the team to evaluate the change! On friends and seeing collections: we know it's a feature many of you love, and it's something we're working to bring to Sorted. We also hear you on wanting more personality, like profiles, badges, and a bit more color. We know moving from another app is tough, and our goal is for Sorted to grow into an experience that carries forward what you loved about the Dragon Shield apps and goes further. If you have more suggestions or feedback, reach us anytime at support@tcgsorted.com or on our Discord!

The worse TCG App

This app is complete junk. The amount of heat pouring off my phone when I use the app is just ridiculous (brand new iPhone). When searching your collections via text you have to type each letter very slowly. Type too fast and not all the letters will appear. Also unable to use the space bar when searching your collections (no problem when adding cards via text). Don’t waste your time as there are plenty of good TCG apps out there.

Response from developer

Hi Thisthingisalie! Sorry about this - the search behaviour you're describing (dropped letters when typing fast, no space bar in collection search) is not intended, and we're looking into it. The overheating isn't expected either. Could you email support@tcgsorted.com with your device model and iOS version, and a screen recording of the search issue if you can manage it? That would help us fix it faster.

Many Bugs. App Needs Work

Imported account from dragon shield. The ui is an improvement but there are bugs and some features function worse than the old app. The scanner seems to work fine and having more TCG options in a single app is nice.

My inventory shows duplicate cards when I scroll down the list and often fails to load at all or refreshes after I scroll down a bit. It seems like this happens when it’s trying to load the advertisements that are now shown every few rows. There are way more ads on this new application than the old one (why are there even ads in my inventory folder at all?).

Some cards I searched for were not populating but this issue was present in both this app and dragon shield. For example I could not locate some of the new first partner collection cards. They have been out for a few weeks but maybe they are too new?

Also you now cannot even view your inventory without an internet connection. I double checked and confirmed the old dragon shield app loaded my inventory while my phone was in airplane mode but the new app doesn’t have this feature and requires internet. I have been to several shows with bad/slow internet and it would be very convenient to still be able to look at my cards.

I would also like it if the language and condition properly reflected in the price charting for each card. Maybe that can be added in a future update.

I’ll check back to see how this app improves in the future and update my review as needed, but this seems like a step backwards from the old Dragon Shield app.

Response from developer

Hi BananaLaffyyTaffyy! Thanks for taking the time to write this up in detail. The duplicate cards and failed loading while scrolling is not expected and we'll investigate. On the ads: they're made by our team and only promote features within Sorted, but we've noted that placing them inside collection lists is disruptive. Offline access isn't supported right now - that was a deliberate trade-off for faster sync and updates - but we have noted the feedback. Condition- and language-specific pricing is on our radar too. If you can send your device model and iOS version to support@tcgsorted.com, plus the names of the First Partner cards you couldn't find, we'll chase both the loading/duplicate cards issues you mentioned and the database gap.

Not a good app.

It’s impossible for move the folders around and organize them the way you want so i’m stuck with the pokemon card and mtg card files ordered in a random order(like the files I have for sets are in a random order). Also certain cards just cause your app not to be able to scroll in the folder. I ran into this problem with Baldur’s gate cards. Not happy dragon shield is moving to this app. I might have to figure something else out because this app had no thought put into it.

Response from developer

Hi ehhsixbdkebsnsx! Thanks for the feedback. You can actually reorder your folders and customize how they are organized. Just click the game name on the bar at the bottom of the screen while you are in the Folders view, then activate "Display custom order" and edit the custom order to what you prefer! Regarding the cards that cause your folders to not be scrollable, that is definitely an issue - could you reach out to support@tcgsorted.com with some additional info - what folders/cards are having this problem, some screenshots, and your account email? That way we can look into what might be going on!

Why get rid of DragonShield?

Is DragonShield done forever? Because if so, yikes. That app was smooth, easy to navigate, you can add friends on it, and was very reliable. This app is an unfinished mess. Sometimes I can’t even get in because the servers are done or something. The friend feature is gone from what I can tell, and scanning the cards are way harder then it was in DragonShield. I don’t understand why this app was needed when the other one was perfect! Just… awful.

Response from developer

Hi Tiller05yeah! Thanks for the feedback. We are working to bring into Sorted all the expertise we developed for years working on the Dragon Shield apps - some aspects are not as refined yet but we are improving continuously! Regarding the friends, that feature is planned and will come back to Sorted! The server and scanner issues you reported are not normal, though. The scanner technology remains the same we had on the Dragon Shield apps. Could you reach out to support@tcgsorted.com with some more information on what cards you are struggling to scan, and what kind of server errors you are encountering? We'll help you out!

Why?

Well, it doesn’t have the complete Pokémon card collection like dragon shield did. In dragon shield we had every single card, this “Sorted” only seems to have some of the cards not all of the Pokemon cards please fix it

Dragon Shield app WAY BETTER

DS app had slowly become refined over the years and was in a great place. This move has completely removed all those years of improvements and reset the improvements. Any decent features which this app does have are locked behind yet another paywall. Do not be fooled by the few 5 star ratings. Most if those reviews are so generic you can tell they were employee reviews or paid for.

Hi Shadowgundam272! Thanks for the feedback. We are currently working to bring into Sorted the expertise we developed over the years with the Dragon Shield apps. We may not be quite there yet, but we're working to improve fast and make Sorted an even better experience. Regarding the Premium features, what is Premium on Sorted was already Premium on the Dragon Shield apps, and we are planning to add more in the future - along with many more free features. If there are specific features you relied on that aren't in Sorted yet, email support@tcgsorted.com; that helps us gather information on what to build next!

Needs More

I transferred my account from Poke TCG and all my folders and cards made it over which is amazing. The card searching upgrade from small pictures and text name on TCG to the three by three pictures on this app is a HUGE improvement.

My biggest reason for my rating is the fact that the wishlist ability wasn’t implemented. So you can’t keep track of the cards you want, how much they currently are and what packs they’re from. So I can’t rely on this app for it, I’ll have to go back and forth between apps or not use this one at all until the wishlist ability is added.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback. It's great to hear you are enjoying the upgrades we made :) The wishlist is coming soon! We know it is a feature a lot of people like and use, and we are bringing it back, so you will be able to do all your tracking - for both cards you have and cards you want - in Sorted. If you have any other thoughts or feedback you'd like to share, you can do so via our Discord or by reaching out to support@tcgsorted.com.

A scanner that works

Many have tried and this one succeeds. As a YuGiOh player who always had trouble with similar scanning and pricing apps, Sorted has exactly what I have been looking for. I am not sponsored I’m just happy to have something like this.

Response from developer

Hi there! Thank you so much for the kind words, they made our day!

Decks didn’t import

When I opened my dragon shield “poke TCG” app, it said they were moving to sorted. So I downloaded this app and signed in. My “collection” got imported but my 49 decklists did not. I begrudgingly began to “import” the decks one-by-one, I got this message during the first import: “invalid columns: please check if you are using the correct .csv structure for your import source and that are using ‘,’ as a delimiter”

I simply don’t understand. On poke TCG, I downloaded the dragon shield file, then on sorted, I selected “dragon shield format”, and selected the downloaded file. How could that possibly not just work? Why didn’t my decks get automatically when I signed in? Will poke TCG stay up or will I actually have to get used to sorted before my old decklists are gone forever? What did I do wrong with the deck import?

Response from developer

Hi there! Sorry to hear you ran into issues while importing your decks. What you described is not supposed to happen at all - decks should have been imported along with your collection. Could you reach out to us through support@tcgsorted.com with your account email so we can look into what happened and help you get your decks into Sorted?

Doesn’t work

Doesnt scan, can’t even look up cards. Dragonshield app was better and barely.

Why did you force people to use something that isn’t finished yet? People are tired of this sophomoric, half-tried, poorly executed software, that once again were forced to use. Pure garbage. If the next update isn’t significant I am done with yall. Already quit buying your sleeves years ago. Yall gave up on quality anything a while ago.

It’s close

I loved dragon shield and got into the pattern of using it. Of course an entirely new app has to be pushed along. While there’s a lot I like about it, something as simple as a plus button to add to collection after scan makes dragon shield’s version better instantly. Having to reach up to the top of the screen is silly and I’m convinced the developers haven’t tried scanning 300 cards in a sitting to add to a bulk folder, which, the automatic dump to “All cards” versus what DS would do with allowing you to select your folder is another flaw. Take me to my folders immediately instead of making me tap 5 more times for a bulk card worth 5 cents I’m trying to catalog. 😑

Hi UpInDaSkies! Thanks for the detailed feedback. The points you brought up regarding the placement of the add button and the number of clicks required to add cards to your folders has been passed along to our team. We're looking to streamline the "add to collection" flow precisely to make tasks like the one you described easier. If you'd like to share any more thoughts, reach out to us through our Discord or at support@tcgsorted.com!

Forced to use app

DragonShield user forced to migrate to this app. No way to change sorting options, the height of irony for an app calling itself “Sorted.”
Search results on how to use this terrible app resulted in “you might want to migrate your collection to a mature, stable app.”
Will definitely start looking for better options.

Response from developer

Hi Lavode! Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Sorted. The sorting does exist: tap the game name on the bar at the bottom of the screen and you'll get all the sort options for your cards and folders. We're working on making that easier to find! If you give it another go and have any other suggestions, reach us at support@tcgsorted.com or on Discord.

Card Scanning Not Working

The card scanner doesn’t work properly, keeps kicking me back to the same card over and over so there’s no flow on scanning multiple cards. Have to restart the app to add new cards in, really disappointing experience. Now I have to restart every time I want to scan a new card, which is unhinged. Hopefully it’s a bug that can be fixed quickly!

Hi Nyluenatha Stareyes! That does not sound like the normal behavior of the scanner at all. Could you send some screenshots or a screen recording, plus your device model and iOS version, to support@tcgsorted.com? That way we can look into the issue and address it as soon as possible. To your point regarding the flow to scan multiple cards, that will be coming soon, so stay tuned!

Nowhere else to give feedback

I HATE your search feature! The way I have to type ONE letter at a time, wait for it to catch up or it deletes the letters that I typed too fast!!!!
I also don't like that I can't choose Card Kingdom as one of the price markets. Dragon Shield was much better. Boo to Dragon Shield for switching this over to Sorted so far.

Response from developer

Hi Traumatize1! The search experience you're describing sounds like an issue and not what we intended the feature to be like. We'd like to understand if there is some problem we aren't yet aware of: could you send your device model and iOS version, plus a quick screen recording if you can manage it, to support@tcgsorted.com? That'll help us reproduce and fix it. Regarding Card Kingdom, it's not one of our price sources right now, but we've noted your preference and will take it into consideration when we look into adding more marketplaces. We know moving over from Dragon Shield takes some adjusting, and feedback like yours genuinely helps us get it right. You can always reach us at support@tcgsorted.com or on our Discord.

I like the previous app more…

I really like the user interface and layout of this new app but miss features of the old one like the ability to see daily movers.

Response from developer

Hi Mason Hughes 2! Thank you for the kind words! Regarding the missing features from the old apps, we are currently working on them - the daily movers are making a comeback soon, as are other favorites like the bulk scanner and the wishlist. Stay tuned!

Should have waited

Missing a lot of the best features from the dragonshield app. This app would have done with more development.

Response from developer

Hi Rolo0485, good news is: most of these features are already in development. The team is excited about it too, and we’re looking forward to share more as soon as we can!

Such a good app

Great app helped organize my cards. It also helped price my cards accurately. Overall it is a great app. I love it it is a high quality app and good if you want to organize your own cards.

Response from developer

Hi Maddox 10888! We really appreciate the support! Knowing Sorted is helping collectors save time and enjoy their collections more is exactly why we built it.
