Disappointed with this app now. I have been using it for quite some time. It was sufficient in the beginning and worked really well ,but now I’m having trouble. It doesn’t load properly. I haven’t seen any improvements in the app for as long as I’ve been using it. I’m disappointed. Sound Devices has not updated.

Everything disappeared
After an entire day of shooting and nearly 100 logs recorded, all the logs disappeared. Wiped out for no reason. This is the most pathetic app that there is. If you want all you work to go to waste this is your app.

Was Useful, Now, Just Crashes
The app was helpful when it worked for the past year and a half. Now, it just crashes on boot.
Great in general, small bug.
Great app, it works well in general. But with the newer phones (iPhone 15 pro max), the Dynamic Island of the phone hides the scene name over the timecode on the main screen. A slight redesign is necessary and overdue to fix this.
Also, it would be great to have more options to control the gain, faders and menu options from the app (Like the Zoom F8 Control app does).

Essa versão recém liberada faz com quem usa iPad com iOS 9, feche o app quando entra no menu (Report). Pra quem usa a série 6 (633,664 e 688), fique na versão 5.02 do app.
No longer connects
Wingman no longer works or connects to Sound Devices 6 Series mixers. While production of 6 series devices may have been discontinued - a lot of us end users are still using them regularly.

Hey, can soneone explain if the app will be updated in future? And if, it would be nice to be able to change tc within the app.

Doesn’t open anymore
Ever since the last iOS update, it now crashes upon opening. It just doesn’t work anymore.
great till it stopped working
5-4-23 worked as intended until today. Not sure if it’s incompatible with a system update or what? The app will not stay open. It instantly closes itself. If I turn off Bluetooth the app will open but once it’s on the app closes. Please help!

This App is the minimum you can expect from a company that sells top notch recorders. There have been zero improvements since the initial Release. Only bugfixes. Nothing has been done to make work more comfortable. Like a scene editor that works with increase decrease buttons, or a favorites list for charakters/talents names or or or. Maybe make it open source, so other companies can offer plugins or other improvements. Or ask your customers what they need.

This app is essential. But needs work.
I use the app every time I use my SD mixer, but I would love a refresh on the UI and some added functionality.

Buggy, No Updates = SoundDevices Can’t Be Bothered
There are so many ways this app could have been updated and improved since its release, such as allowing more characters for file and track description, and to fix the LARGE BUG where the MixPre does not display the same file name as the app. No updates and improvements in such a long time means that SoundDevices has completely dropped the ball on this one, and that’s a shame.
