Can’t be right

In the ocean the noise is in the dangerous level. Can’t be right

Not very good

Sometimes it is not very correct and my room is a quiet room but it is 70 or more

Highly inaccurate

While there is the ability to calibrate, it’s still very difficult to get an accurate reliable reading. Other apps without needing calibration performed better.

Sucks

Me and my friend Coley tried this and it was not accurate. I was talking a little bit loud and it said I was 120 in danger but whenever we try doing it outside and screaming, it only went up to like 110. This thing is not accurate at all, and it does not work.

Does what it Says

Does what it Says, nothing more. It’s all I wanted and nothing I didn’t.

FAQ

What does the Sound Meter app do?

The Sound Meter app measures and displays the decibel (dB) values of environmental noise. It presents this data through various visual formats like gauges, graphs, and numerical readouts, allowing users to understand the noise levels around them.

What are the key features of this sound meter app?

Key features include indicating decibel levels by a gauge, displaying the current noise reference, showing minimum, average, and maximum decibel values, presenting decibels via a graph line, and the ability to save measured records for later review.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the app is free to use. However, it does display advertisements as part of its monetization model. There are no in-app purchases mentioned.

How accurate are the decibel readings?

The accuracy of the readings can be limited by the phone's microphone, which is primarily aligned to human voice. Very loud sounds (over approximately 110 dB) may not be recognized accurately on most devices. It is recommended to use this app as an auxiliary tool and consider an actual sound level meter for more precise measurements.

What are common use cases for a sound meter app?

Common use cases include checking noise levels in different environments (e.g., home, office, public spaces), identifying potential noise pollution, monitoring sound for personal awareness, or as a supplementary tool for audio-related tasks.
