Great production, awful app

The audiobooks are awesome, the quality is truly top notch, however the app itself is awful. I have to screenshot where I finished listening because the app doesn’t keep up with it for you so I constantly lose my place. The audio just randomly stops playing but the episode continues playing making you lose part of the story. And you have to fidget with it to get it playing again, risking losing your spot. The app has trouble loading a lot and you have to completely close the app out and restart it, thus making you lose your place in the audiobook yet again. If they could straighten out the functionality of the app this would otherwise be a 5 star review.

truly awful app ruins great content

I found this app via Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks and wanted more. The DCC voice acting is great, and new content is fun, but this app is embarrassingly terrible. maybe the worst I ever downloaded. it only successfully loads maybe 50% of the time (and by load i mean successfully opens to the home page). which means my fairly pricey purchases cannot be accessed and I am paying $30 bucks for the privilege of looking at a loading screen.

this app fails at its most elemental and basic, arguably sole function of connecting a user to what they bought. I dont see how I could reccomend any of their stories because chances are you can only sporadically hear them.

Great content, bad app

I usually have to start the App multiple times to open, as it gets stuck loading. Also sometimes the playback just stops and I have to restart the app which is quite annoying. The Audio Immersion version of Dungeon Crawler Carl is great though, so still three stars.

Great content, annoying/bad app

Takes forever to load when opening the app or just fails to load completely.
It’s been failing to download any new books I’ve bought. Also it fails to fully delete already downloaded books after you delete them so be aware of that.

The app needs to catch up to the stories.

I love the content when I can get the app to load and stay open. I have all of the current releases of DCC and am trying to listen to them for the first time ( have listened to the audiobooks several times). I have yet to get through an episode with out it crashing and now I just had to delete the app and reinstall in hopes that I can even get it to load.

Great content but buggy

I love the content in the app, and the app itself is easy to navigate. The main issue is how buggy the app is. The main issue I have is it often times fails to open properly and I have to restart the app, and it failing to download content more time than not, even when on WiFi with a strong connection. If the bugs are fixed it’s easily 5 stars.

Great products, Janky app

I love the intent. Independent audiobooks and audio dramas. I but the UI on the app is clumsy and the app is constantly locking up, buffering endlessly, and forgetting my library. I have never used this app without having to restart it at least once.

Not worth your time if you travel and want to access books. App does not work without internet even if you download the titles. I am in season to of DCC and it will not let me download load the last few episodes. Not sure I will invest the time or money in to season 3 even though I’m really enjoying it. I will probably head back to Audible and redo the series there.

Great app, needs CarPlay!

Excited to listen to more stuff. Finished Dungeon Crawler Carl series! Need to add CarPlay support to the app to easily pull up content and play it from the car screen.

Keeps crashing

App only opens half the time, need to keep deleting and redownloading. When it does open it kicks me off every 10 minutes, even though I am signed into my account and have paid for the audio file.

Content great! App horrible

The app doesn’t hardly work when you don’t have connection and will pause when connection is lost and regained even if the book is downloaded. It took 10 minutes to get the app to show anything other than loading screen and then I opened one book and it kept playing another.

App needs improving

First off I love listening to the DCC story through this app it’s a great way to experience it a second time and it’s very cinematic

The app itself has some problems while the actual sound and audio itself is great

-Sometimes the app fails to load or loads slowly
- the bookmark feature that I love to mark 15 second clips is not present. The app itself has said it’ll be a feature soon
-sometimes the app doesn’t actually timestamp where I finished listening to and instead will default back to the second last time I listened , like it wasn’t saving my listening progress

DCC Alone makes it worth it

While there are some minor glitches and slow loading, I am having so much fun with the content that I find all that secondary. Keep tweaking to get it buttery smooth, but for now…thank you!

Great content but buggy app

First of all I have to say that the books I’ve tried have been very well done and are well worth the cost. Unfortunately the app itself needs work. It starts slow, stops playing randomly, and sometimes doesn’t automatically play the next chapter. I listen to audio books when I’m doing other things like chores or driving so I really don’t like to be fumbling with the app. Oh and it doesn’t seem to support car play.

Guys seriously. Get a developer and tester that know what they are doing. Your books are great - I love them. Your app makes me want to tear off my own arm and beat myself to death with it.

Great content, but app is very buggy

Lots of playback issues and crashing within the app, which takes away from some of the excellent content.

Good but bad

First off, The content is great! App sucks A**. Quits playing randomly, doesn’t continue after chapters. Makes you refresh your session for some reason. Freezes. Have to force close and reopen the app to get it to play and the list continues.

Nice but just one thing

I really like this App. It is easy to use and the content is great but. What is the point of downloading if I have to have internet to log in? I download content because I don’t always have access to internet and I can’t access the content. Just because of this 4 stars.
