I was hoping this would allow me to really play around with how the lights change based on theistic but it is very limited in options. You can customize the settings based on frequency of the sound which is cool but you can’t really change much about how the lights move. Pretty limited options when it comes to the music visualizer. I was hoping to be able to use effects similar to the actual Nanoleaf app but when using the music visualizer you really only have three different options for how the lights change and move. Also, after using the app for about ten minutes I was told there was a connection issue and I haven’t been able to resolve this issue yet so I spent $3 on an app that has been rendered useless to me. If I were you I’d just stick to the free Nanoleaf controller app. It offers so many more modes when it comes to music visualization. Of course if you don’t have the music controller attachment for the lights this app is a great alternative since it uses the mic on your phone rather than the one you can get with the Nanoleaf lights themselves. I hope people have found this useful. I wouldn’t recommend spending money on this app unless you don’t have the music controller attachment

Sorry to hear you don't like the app. For each frequency range (bass, mid, treble), you can select a custom theme and choose between 4 different transition effects which allows many possibilities. With the app, you can also synchronize multiple Nanoleaf devices.
Soundstorm also includes the modes Strobe, Color Loop, and Color Flow. The new Playlist mode cycles through each mode for a random duration, all customizable in the settings.
As for the connection issue, a Nanoleaf device can become unresponsive after it updates. Please try deleting the device from the Soundstorm app and adding it again. Contact support@soundstorm.scottdodson.dev if you have any questions. I'm happy to help!
UPDATE: The app now includes an additional method for reconnecting to your Nanoleaf device when the connection is lost; however, if the connection issue occurred while using the app, you may need to power cycle your Nanoleaf device.
