Too many taps/clicks to complete an order. It feels like a high-schooler designed developed the checkout workflow.
Annoying auto play video on front page of app
Does a decent job at placing mobile orders and redeeming coupons. However, the May 2026 update added a super distracting and annoying auto play video on the front screen. Please remove that or add an option so that users can disable it.

I am in love with the health nut smoothie from south block, it is just so delicious, has the right ingredients and flavors. I also love the PBJ Bowl it is a better try!

App logs me out every day and forces me to change the password. I stopped going to South Block because of how ineffective the app is.

App Needs More Efficiency
Too many steps to create an order. Drop down menu in payment details should start with United States for country especially since the app is tracking the person’s location while using the app and South Block is not available in any other country.
Also in the payment details, for the expiration date of the credit card, that too should have a scroll down with the month and year instead of having to type the information in.
Once signed in, the name should auto-populate for the name field in the payment information.
Eliminate all the extra pop-ups for add-ons and remove the automatic tip selection.

The app is a poor representation
I’m new to South Block and while I like the concept very little has worked in the app from day 1. With an average price point of $15 - $18 this is not acceptable. The promo discounts ($5 new app sign up and $2 off next purchase) don’t work in app. An employee had to ring me up in store to apply the $5 new app sign up. My time was wasted and I left frustrated after several attempts to apply the promo on a kiosk. App activities take too long to reflect in the app. An app ingredient audit needs to be performed so items like Agave can be added to orders.
It is apparent corporate seeks to have customers self service but the app isn’t up to par for a full self-service experience.
I live close to the Union Market location and on busy days (practically everyday) the kiosk order process is chaotic at best, and the staff are not proactive or helpful in sorting out customer confusion.

Why does this app have high reviews?
It’s mind boggling. As someone who also works on app dev - what the heck are you guys all doing? Points don’t work, fine print says bowl rewards are up to $15 but in store it’s $12.99. Don’t even show the bowl reward option in check out. Can’t sub or replace any toppings (like no bananas, strawberries etc). Make it so that I can order what I actually order in person with those options. I showed the store employee what was going on with the app and all they had to say was “don’t use the app”. A joke for company this size.

I already had an account at South Block and used to go very regularly. Banked a lot of points. Once they switched their points system, there’s ZERO way for me to log in. I can no longer get points, use the app to order, nada. It’s frustrating and prevents me from going there because it’s such a disaster. I’ve tried entering my email but it won’t take my password. I try to reset and it says I don’t have an account. I log I with Apple and it says I have an account. It’s a circle of unending errors and not worth my time.

App is inconsistent
Every version of south block’s app has had problems.It sometimes was not recording rewards after you order or not allowing you to order. It never works consistently. It’s very frustrating.
New update doesn’t work
This recent update won’t work. The app is super slow even to log in. Must fix asap
