We’re currently working on improvements to the design and editing experience, including how the app handles different project requirements and how easy it is to make changes. Thanks for your feedback. Just to clarify, there are no ads in the app. It’s free to download, with access to the service available through a paid subscription. The login code can take a few seconds to arrive, so we appreciate your patience there. We also take your point that the pricing should be clear before you get too far into the app, and we’re reviewing how we communicate this more clearly.
Not recommended. Does half a job.
Spent some time mapping all the borders for my garden. Took multiple photos. My garden design photo at the end showed one small corner. Nothing on the rest of the garden. What is the point of mapping these borders if they are ignored?
It added a brick dividing wall to replace my neighbours fence in the background! Utterly stupid and not within the brief. It also added some expensive paving to replace my gravel. I revised the design (beware, you can only do this once!) asking it to replace the pavers with the existing gravel and it added MORE paving.
It doesn’t provide a planting scheme or list of plants to buy.
At the end of it I’ve paid £10 for a pretty picture of the corner of my garden using materials I specifically asked it to remove.
It seems that in order to get it to do anything else I have to pay another £40!!!
I cannot recommend this app, ChatGPT will do this quicker and for free and won’t try and con you in the process.

The issues you’ve highlighted around border mapping, retaining existing materials, design revisions and clearer information about what’s included are all areas we’re actively working to improve. Incredible! So pleased we found Spacelift
Instead of spending hours looking for inspiration and trying to piece together different ideas, we had several well-thought-out concepts to compare within minutes. It made it much easier to picture what our garden could become.
The guidance and support you receive with the project pack is phenomenal. It made us feel in control the whole way, whilst laying everything out step by step. We are now on the journey to transforming our garden, and I cannot imagine how much SpaceLift has saved us in time and money, considering what you’d normally pay for professional design input of this quality.
I think the subscription offers excellent value. Even if it helps you avoid one costly mistake or gives you the confidence to move forward with a plan, it more than pays for itself.
I’ve already recommended it to friends who are planning garden projects, and I’d happily subscribe again.

Being able to try different styles on the same space is coming very soon - "Save My Space" is an exciting new feature to be launched soon. I upgraded to the design package which was incredibly helpful and provided more detailed images and far more information!

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. I'm really sorry the experience hasn't matched the concept, and I completely understand your frustration. I want to be upfront with you on a couple of things. Space scan persistence is something we're actively working on and will be releasing soon, so that pain point won't be around for long. On editing, we're also extending the app to allow three design iterations, which will give you much more control over the outcome. On the design quality, the more detail you put in when setting up your project, the better the results. Adding everything you want to include, but also actively declining elements you don't want, makes a real difference to what the AI produces. It's very much a case of what you put in is what you get out, and we'd love to help you get a better result if you're willing to give it another go. If you'd prefer a refund, please email us directly at info@spaceliftapp.com and we'll sort it out for you. One thing worth clarifying: tools like ChatGPT have no knowledge of your actual garden. Spacelift scans your real space, measures it, and designs within those specific dimensions. It's a genuinely different category of product, and we believe the experience will reflect that much more clearly as these improvements land.

Coming back to this, we've made launch far more stable since June after fixing crashes some devices were seeing, so it's well worth a second try. You're right that the Project Pack is an additional purchase on top of the Pro subscription, and we understand why that feels like a lot when you've already committed £30.
