About

AstroFlight — Pilot Your Rocket Through the Solar System Embark on an unforgettable journey across our solar system with AstroFlight, a fully 3D space exploration and flight simulation game built for iPhone and iPad. Whether you're a space enthusiast, an aspiring astronaut, or just looking for a relaxing yet challenging flight experience, AstroFlight puts the cosmos at your fingertips. EXPLORE A LIVING 3D SOLAR SYSTEM Spin, zoom, and glide through a beautifully rendered solar system featuring all eight planets, each with realistic relative sizes, orbital distances, and orbital speeds. Watch Mercury race around the sun while distant Neptune drifts slowly along its massive orbit. Saturn's iconic rings shimmer as it rotates, and a dense starfield surrounds you on every side, creating a true sense of scale and wonder. Tap on any planet to learn fascinating facts — discover why Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system, why Mars is called the Red Planet, and what makes Jupiter's Great Red Spot so famous. Every planet includes bite-sized educational content that's fun for explorers of all ages. FLY YOUR OWN ROCKET When you're ready for action, launch your rocket toward any planet and switch into an immersive cockpit view. Steer using an intuitive on-screen joystick or connect a compatible game controller for precision control. Hold the thrust button to accelerate, and watch your fuel gauge — every second of thrust counts. REALISTIC GRAVITY AND FLIGHT PHYSICS AstroFlight features a genuine flight model where each planet's gravity affects your rocket differently. Heavier planets like Jupiter and Neptune pull harder, while smaller worlds like Mercury and Mars are more forgiving. Master the balance between speed, fuel, and gravity to land smoothly — come in too fast, and your rocket won't survive. LAND, EARN, AND UPGRADE Successfully landing on a planet rewards you with credits based on its difficulty. Use your earnings to unlock more powerful rockets in the Hangar: Scout I — your reliable starting rocket Voyager Heavy — increased thrust and fuel capacity for tougher missions Titan X — the ultimate rocket for conquering the outer planets Each rocket offers different thrust-to-fuel ratios, giving you new strategies for tackling distant worlds like Uranus and Neptune. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROGRESSION Track your progress with a built-in achievement system: First Touchdown — land on your first planet Inner System Explorer — conquer Mercury, Venus, and Mars Outer System Explorer — master Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune Grand Tour — land on all eight planets and complete your collection Your mission log keeps a running history of every launch, landing, and crash. DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE AstroFlight includes a friendly welcome guide that walks new players through the controls — exploring the solar system, launching, steering, managing fuel, and landing safely. Revisit the guide anytime from the Hangar menu. FEATURES AT A GLANCE Fully 3D solar system with all eight planets, realistic orbits, and a dynamic starfield Tap-to-explore planet cards with fun facts about each world Immersive cockpit flight mode with gravity-based physics On-screen joystick plus full support for MFi and Bluetooth game controllers Three unlockable rockets with unique thrust and fuel stats Credit-based economy and progression system Built-in achievement tracking Particle effects for thrust and crashes Haptic feedback for an immersive feel Friendly onboarding guide for new players One-time purchase — no subscriptions, no ads, no IAP required A SPACE ADVENTURE THAT NEVER GETS OLD Whether you're threading the needle for a perfect landing on Mars, racing gravity to reach distant Neptune, or simply enjoying the planets in orbital view, AstroFlight offers something for every kind of space explorer. Download today and start your journey!

Controls Real keyboard support — WASD or arrow keys to steer, spacebar to thrust. Works via the GameController framework, so it's picked up automatically on Mac (and external keyboards on iPad) alongside the existing touch joystick and physical game controller support. Audio Fix Fixed a bug where the audio session category (.ambient) was causing total silence whenever the device's mute switch was on — switched to .playback, which ignores the mute switch (standard for games). Flight Feel Overhaul Real momentum physics — previously your speed was recalculated fresh from thrust every single frame with no memory of past motion, so "landing" was really just point-and-coast. Now thrust and gravity genuinely accelerate your velocity, which persists and only bleeds off through damping — you have to actually manage deceleration to land safely, not just release the thrust button near the end. Difficulty levels (Beginner/Intermediate/Hard) now also tune how quickly that momentum decays, so Beginner brakes noticeably faster than Hard. Liftoff Fix Fixed the ground-to-space liftoff cinematic not displaying — the star system you launched from wasn't being explicitly hidden during the sequence, which could cause rendering conflicts. Also reduced an unnecessarily extreme coordinate offset that risked float-precision glitches on real hardware.
