About
Losing hours to the feed isn't a willpower problem. Nothing has ever stood between the thought and the thumb. Spark Break puts something there: a short break that makes you stronger, calmer or sharper, and a daily limit that comes down a little every week.
HOW IT WORKS
• Pick the apps that eat your day. Spark Break watches only those.
• Every 30, 40 or 50 minutes you spend in them, they lock until you do one short action. You choose the pace.
• Do it and you're back in. Two skips a day (one in Commit mode) are there for when you truly can't stop.
A LIMIT THAT COMES DOWN SLOWLY
Week one only measures: no limit, just your real days. Then your daily ceiling starts just above your own average and steps down 20 minutes a week (10 after a hard week), never below the goal you chose: 90, 60 or 45 minutes. Reach the ceiling and your apps stay shut until midnight, unless you earn extra minutes with an exercise.
BREAKS THAT DO SOMETHING
• Strength: squats and push-ups counted by your camera, a plank, a wall sit.
• Calm: box breathing, long slow exhales, the double breath.
• Focus: quick games. Find the letter in a grid, catch the right digit as they fly past, say whether it's the same as the last one.
Each takes about a minute. No camera? Rep actions swap for breathing ones.
LEVEL UP YOUR SPARK
Every action earns 50 XP. Days under your ceiling pay a bonus at midnight, and a whole week under it pays 500 more. Calm, Focus and Strength level up separately, from Spark Starter all the way to Spark Legend.
SEE IT CHANGE
• Your week day by day against its ceiling, and the time you took back.
• Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen: level, XP, streak, the whole month.
NO RED ZEROS
Break a streak and Spark Break says "Day 1 again. Your best was 14." That's all. No failure screens, no guilt-trip notifications. Shame is what sends people back to the feed.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up. The apps you protect are stored as Apple tokens that even we can't read. The camera counts reps on your iPhone: nothing is recorded, and no frame is saved.
Spark Break uses Apple's Screen Time to tell when you're deep in a scroll. Please allow notifications: they're how the lock hands you back to the app.
