Slow
Emails from Gmail can take a minute or more to fetch and load. I’ve used Spark for years and I prefer the interface over the native Gmail app. But Spark’s latency has become a big issue for me. If it’s not fixed soon I will ditch it.
Nonfunctional
After paying for a subscription for their services, I could not get emails to refresh, sync across devices, or send in a timely manner. I reached out to support with very little help to eventually not receive any responses from their team. I once loved this app but is now unusable.
Stay Away
After years of loving this app and trying to get other people to use it, I am now running far away as I continue to try and force AI integration and up sales. The app is now an unusable mess and I will be completely deleting and moving on.
Not operational
Since the last update I have been unable to open emails and can’t seem to delete some emails that won’t send. I delete and they reappear. It isn’t updating my sent file from other devices. It didn’t allow me to opt out of AI. I would send an email to support but it doesn’t work from Spark. This is happening across three devices.

I use it to access my hotmail account and found it to be better than Outlook app.

I really like spark it makes email more enjoyable like better spam filters which stops most spam from hitting my inbox. Also like when i add my accounts on one device it syncs across all the rest effortlessly.
Used for years but slowly getting worse
I’ve used spark and loved it for many years, but the last few versions have made the app worse and sometimes not usable. Repeatedly have outbox mail just failing to send, notifications and sync with my online emails way out. App just generally sluggish compared to how it used to be a few months back.

Favorite mail handler
Been using Spark for a long time now. My only problem with the current iteration is that I don’t have the ability to opt out of using the AI version. Also, the free version doesn’t seem to be available any more.
What happened?
App used to be perfect for my simple email workflow and I’ve been using it for years. Now that’s it full of AI features my emails take ages to load. It’s never an issue on my end - I have multiple mail clients I test with.

I like this product and it works well over devices but the fact that I cannot turn off conversation threads is so very frustrating. It has stopped me from using Spark and gone to other alternatives
Connectivity amongst devices broken!
Since a few months now, Spark connectivity across multiple devices not working. For example, if I read and clear my inbox on iPad and I open the Spark app on my iPhone or MacBook then those emails still remain as unread. And vice versa.
It’s frustrating to keep going into each device to action the same emails. Why doesn’t the action carry forward to all the remaining devices? Before even the badges on the home screen would clear. Now I have to open each app and re-action it. Developers, please fix this bug or I’ll have to move onto another app sadly.

Something changed recently
Having tons of trouble since the most recent update. Emails take forever to load, my inbox takes forever to sync, things are not right. Please fix this ASAP.

Forced Desktop version for Mac
The desktop version you can’t select multiple emails. One email at a time. It’s so annoying. The prior app was great but I guess got discontinued. The user-bility and learning curve changed the dynamic
Inconsistent
Loved it for quite a while; lately, no content will load in my emails. Sporadic.... What can I do?

Used to be great
This app used to be the best email client out there, but over the past few weeks, it has become unusable. It started with attachments not loading, then it was full email threads not loading, for days. Multiple devices, multiple OS, multiple networks, uninstall, reinstall, etc. Nothing fixes it. Likely due to Spark playing middle man. There have been so many people reporting the same issue and they have done nothing. Sad to say I cancelled my subscription this morning, because email is the one thing you cannot wait to fix, and this has been way too long to deal with.
Maybe if they can fix this I’ll come back but it will take a lot of convincing, and I have moved on in the meantime.
Very sad, this has been such a great app for so so long. If you can’t get the basics right, then all the AI add-ons and bells and whistles are meaningless.
