About
Sparkler Room hands a file from your phone to someone standing next to you.
Open a room. A code appears. They scan it, and the two devices talk directly to each other — encrypted end to end, no account, no upload, no cloud drive in the middle. Send a photo, a video, a document, a note. Close the room and it never existed.
Nobody can wander in
There is no directory, no username to search, no way to be found. The only way into your room is a code you show someone or send them yourself. You see everyone who joins, and you can remove anyone and shut the door behind them.
It goes directly, when it can
Devices connect to each other rather than through a service. The app tells you which kind of connection you have, so you always know. When two phones can reach each other directly, nothing passes through anyone else's computer at all.
Rooms end
Give a room five minutes, an hour, or no limit. When it closes — because you closed it, or because it burned out — the shared folder goes with it.
Say how the files may be used
Turn on restrictions if what you're sending is sensitive:
• Block saving — the file can be looked at, not exported, and it's removed from their device when they leave
• Block screen capture — previews come out blank in screenshots and screen recordings
• Alert me on screenshots — you're told if someone captures the screen, and so are they
These are enforced by the app on each device. They make the careful choice easy and visible. They are not DRM, and Sparkler Room says so plainly inside the room rather than implying more than it delivers.
If something goes wrong
You can report a room you joined, or someone you are hosting, from the menu in the room. A host can remove anyone and close the room behind them so they cannot come back. Everyone agrees to the same short set of rules before their first room: nothing illegal, nothing that sexualises children, no harassment, nothing sent to someone who did not agree to receive it.
What we know about you
Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no server that stores your files. The app asks for the camera to scan a pairing code, and for nothing else. If you report someone, that is an email you write and send yourself — we see what you chose to tell us, and nothing more.
