Genuinely the best Ive tried
I’ve tried a lot of language apps, but this is honestly the best way to practice speaking without feeling awkward. The conversations feel genuinely conversational instead of scripted and it talks about current trending topics and I love that it has memory it actually remembers what we talked about before and builds on that. As an intermediate learner, it’s hard to find tools that aren’t too basic or overwhelming but this app perfectly fits that.

Huge change
I’ve been using Jojo (the original name) for a few months and I really loved it. I learned so much Japanese really quickly and it made my move to Japan really easy, however this new update changed everything I loved about the app. I’m a UX designer by trade, so I already know the worst thing an app can do is completely change everything without notice.
I used to regularly recommend the app to my friends, but since this latest overhaul, I canceled my subscription after testing it out for a day. I really dislike this shift in the app.
I only gave it two stars as a thank you for the initial help it was. The huge shift was not helpful at all to the way I enjoy learning a new language.

Not free
It absolutely does charge you after the first exercise. It doesn’t even let you complete an entire lesson so you can determine whether or not you like this. Lesson 1 starts with basic introduction about 7 minutes of speaking practice. Second, it’s review and refine pronunciation. Third, it appears to be a chat option to use the new phrases in context. These three things make up every lesson. I was able to do the first option of lesson one, but locked right away saying I need to upgrade. Again, I don’t know if I like the app yet. You could’ve let me finish the entire first lesson before trying to force me to pay $119 for the annual fee or $17 a month. Crazy expensive for such a short trial. Could at least offer a 7-14 day free trial for those high prices—then I would consider paying.

Tried many apps, this is the best
I think it’s pretty common knowledge that most language apps aren’t really there to teach you and focus more on games. I’ve honestly tried to many while learning Korean outside of my self study. Let me tell you this one is the real deal in terms of a clear progression and learning path while still keeping it fun with cute characters！

I’m learning Portuguese because my girlfriend’s from Brazil, and this app’s been a HUGE help. The speaking lessons make it easy to sound more natural, and she actually noticed my accent getting better.
Better than Duolingo
Heading to Mexico soon, so I’ve been practicing Spanish here. It’s super easy to use and actually gets me speaking instead of just memorizing words. Can’t wait to try it out for real.
Awesome language tutor
I used to freeze up every time I had to speak Korean. This app makes it fun — like practicing with a friend who doesn’t judge. The AI feedback is surprisingly spot-on, and it’s been the only thing that’s kept me consistent.
My favorite app!
I’ve been using Jojo for a few weeks and it’s honestly helped me think in the language more naturally. The roleplays are fun and realistic, and the pronunciation feedback feels like what you’d get from a real tutor. I’m surprised how much more confident I feel actually saying things out loud now.
This app is amazing!
Paris made me want to learn French properly, and this app feels like the closest thing to being there. The conversations are realistic, and the way it corrects your pronunciation is super encouraging. It’s my little daily escape to France.

This app is really good it basically Pingo ai but free I really recommend but the only downside is there’s not a whole lot of language options yet, just the more popular ones all I’m asking is for German to be added. Over all this is a really good app for languages like Spanish,Chinese, etc

Such a good app for complete beginner
I was looking for an app to learn useful phrases for daily communications when I travel to Spain. Jojo helped me so much and really tailored the contents to my needs. It is flexible in its instructions and is patent with my repetitive practice. In the end, I was able to ask about payment, where are places, and navigated a new country with much more confidence. I really recommend this app!
