Very baisic

The App hasn’t had an update in over a year. When you spend high dollar on a high end bicycle the app and the technology associated with it should be high end as well. The lock out feature for the computer on the bike does its job, but when you enter a passcode to lock it, you don’t have to enter the passcode ode to unlock it which defeats the purpose of a passcode. Also the ride log feature doesn’t work which is disappointing. I would like to look back and see how much I have been riding. The app needs an update and an upgrade.

Good, not great

Connects quickly and helps me lock the bike from my phone which is a great feature. I just wish I could use Face ID instead of a pin.

Needs a battery limit feature for charging as others have said.

Ver 1.4 crashing and shutting off bike.

On a ride into work, my bike would suddenly shut down and then the app would crash. I was riding in 17° weather so maybe that had an impact. I could successfully restart the bike and it would stay on as long as I didn’t use the app. Not many features in the app either making it kind of useless. Would love if they would just add the Globe Haul line to the Specialized app.

Needs A LOT of work

The bike is phenomenal. The app is pretty terrible. Specialized needs to fire this dev team and get the dev team that writes the baseline Specialized app to figure this one out. This app feels like it’s made by a marketing agency which means it’s utter garbage.

Nothing really works. There’s the review. And the UI is hideous. Terrible product.

Useful for locking and seeing battery % but that’s it

I would expect this app to be similar to the app my wife uses on her Specialized Vedo. It sets default values. It allows battery charging to be set to 80%. And it locks the bike and sets the alarm.

This app needs the ability to save the light setting at least. And ideally the default assist level.

The other problem is that I tried to use this with the Specialized Ride app to record my rides and upload to Strava. But if you connect Strava to the Ride app the Globe app will also upload to Strava with incorrect bike information and no GPS. Specialized is aware of this but has no intention of fixing the problem.

I do wish the software was as good as the Specialized bikes!!! They deserve better.

Basically pointless

The app has very little functionality. The lock button does not seem to work. When I click the help links I get a message saying “missing authentication token”. So if there is a trick to getting the lock to work I can’t find it out. The only other things to do are turn the bike off (you need to physically turn it on at the HMI interface), and log rides. I don’t really need those features as I have lots of apps to log rides. You can’t even turn off the bike from a far if your forgot, because it runs with Bluetooth connection. So it’s basically a pointless app at this moment.

Terrible app

Completely featureless, why is this so bad compared to the Turbo app?

Nearly useless

No features. No battery charge percentage, can’t change max charge limit, and basically no features that you can’t get on the bike itself. Lock PIN lacks a confirmation step.

I’d like to see more….

App is good, but I’d like to see more.
- charging point setting like the specialized app offers for the como’s
- the lock feature seems wonky and doesn’t actually lock?
- better / clearer Odometer reading, trip readings
- Ride log function seems wonky
- GPS integration allowing map overlay while using the app, waypoint setting, POI, sharing rides, building rides etc.
- Social media shares, photos, rides, etc

**FEATURE REQUEST**

App does exactly what it needs to…EXCEPT giving an owner the ability to cap charging at a certain percentage, eg. 80%. Pleeeeeease add this feature!

For battery health (which is clearly instructed by Specialized and other brands like Tesla and Apple) states that you shouldn’t fully charge unless you really need it. Keeping the battery state between 20-80% will improve battery health and longevity. And at $900 for a battery replacement, it’s not just about the environment here.

Please give us this option to cap charging at 80%

Needs updating

There’s a few things that would make this app way more user friendly. First, remembering what power level you were on every time you turn on the bike instead of defaulting to level 1. Second, when locking the bike have the number pad automatically pop up instead of tapping into the code box. Third, the ride log defaults to km even though it is set to imperial. Fourth, remembering light setting so one doesn’t have to turn off light every time. These changes would make the app more user friendly.

Very limiting app

The app is a good start, but there aren’t that many features, or useful ones at least. However, it is good that there’s another way to power off, lock and manage the lights. Unless I’m locking my bike’s battery/power, I don’t use the app as much as I thought I would.

Compared to the Specialized App for the Turbo, the Globe App looks like sticks and bones. Hopefully the devs are planning to merge this into the Specialized app or copy their great features onto the Globe app.

Could be better

Better graphics and a simple connection to the bike websites and some clarity on firmware updates.

Easy to use and navigate

This highly functional app is easy to use

Easy and Awesome

I found this app both easy to navigate and use and incredibly valuable
