Too Many Defects
This app is not user friendly and does not cater to all readers. When try to download books , it takes forever or it doesn’t download at all. For the price it should and could be better. I’m not happy with speechify at all.

I’m sure this app would be amazing. But why release it for Aussies, and not allow us to use it?

Can’t subscribe
The subscribe option in this app does not work I’ll take this down if you fix it, just trying to help, I emailed you about this
Total scam
I purchased a book and it said payment failed so I tried again and it said payment failed. According to my bank account the purchase went through both times and I have no book $42 dollars gone SCAM
Glitching
I downloaded the app and during set up it froze on a blank screen. I reopened the app and set up. It will not let me select a book for the trial period.
Don’t waste your time or money
I installed this app to see how it worked. They say all you had to do was take a picture of your book and start listening. What they fail to tell you is that you have to buy subscription or coins to do this.
They say they have over 100,000 best sellers but I couldn’t find the books I wanted. Lastly, when I tried to take a picture of the book to find in the library that didn’t work either. What a waste of time because this is no different than all the other audiobooks sites, except for the low amount of books they provide.

The app will not allow UK to access the 100,000 books. Very limited access. Will not be extending my account
Great features… when they work
I really like the design of Speechify books. I love the option of reading along while listening. However, I’ve found the app to be extremely buggy and frustrating. Here are some of my biggest issues: 1. It will often not synchronize the text with the audio. This especially happens when trying to go back and listen to something again or skip ahead. 2. Randomly it will get stuck on a chapter, playing it over and over again instead of moving on. This happens often in the car when I’m driving and can’t fix it. 3. It doesn’t stop automatically when taking my headphones out so I lose my spot (and then it breaks sync when trying to rewind to my spot). 4. It logs me out every few days. There are others. Just overall, I feel frustrated with the app more often than I feel pleased with it. If it worked smoothly it would be great.

Stole my money
I bought a book in the app and never received it.
SCAM APP!!!
THIS APP IS A SCAM!! DO NOT USE IT!! I tried to purchase a book and it didn’t work. Then it STOLE almost $100 from me!! I’m still fighting to get it back!!!
No Workie
After installing the app on my iPhone with iOS version 18.6, I now have a blank screen that is gradient from white at the top and black at the bottom.
The center of the color scheme moves up and down slowly giving an impression that something is happening in the background.
Unfortunately, I am not going to wait forever to see what happens. I’m deleting the app right after I finish this review.

Terrible
I got this app because I needed books to read but couldn’t read them all before 2 weeks. This app doesn’t have the books that I have been looking for, and any book I press all say they’re unavailable in my country like what. Fix this stupidity.
Ridiculous setup and EXPENSIVE
Takes forever to go through their ridiculous set up, then you finally get to the end and the voices aren’t even great. Says “200” to chose from but really it’s more like 5 due to their dumb setup. And then after you go through it all and realize they want to charge you $130 a year. LOL. Nope
Can’t try without registereing
I wont be trying it out because it requires registering before using.

Not worth it
You pay for the subscription and then you also have to pay for the books within the app. The subscription just gives you access to the app!
App bug
Will not let me use free trial. Then I tried to purchase and it would not work. Cool concept though.
Wish I Could Give Zero Stars
I am not sure what all the hype is with this app. I am sure it is great if you want to pay for it, but why would pay for it I when I can get all of this from my Libby (free), Audible, etc. Also, downloading the app does nothing for you. Every time I tried to do anything (scan/photo/etc), the app would close.
