This app changed the rules, now after you create 02 or 03 podcasts they block and offer you to buy expensive credits to keeping use it, absurd!!
Game Changer!!!
Y’all, I was skeptical at first. $139 a year is a lot of money. But, I’m in my second year of grad school, and I struggled the first year, so I thought hey it’s worth a shot. You guys: it has genuinely been such a game changer and I am consistently blown away by the number of genuinely helpful features I’m still discovering. I don’t have ADHD or dyslexia, but I have struggled to complete my grad school readings, maintain motivation and focus, and am often distracted. This app has been great for several reasons. One, once I upload my readings, I can see how long it will take to listen to at my preferred speed, which gives me a finish line and helps a TON with time management. Two, the upload methods are varied and effective; I can take photos of pages (even slightly blurry or with other text from another page) and it focuses in correctly. You can upload web links for articles too, or just upload a whole ebook. It uploaded mine genuinely in just a few seconds. I just discovered it has a sleep timer feature in case you want to listen to something as you go to sleep, and you can also select your mix in audio/music in the background. Speechify has legitimately changed my life: I’m doing better in classes, I can actually complete all my grad school readings now, my stress is down, I feel way more motivated, and my productivity and energy are both up. If they ever come out with a lifetime subscription, I’ll be the first customer.

I canceled the trial the same day and was still billed for the PDF library. Also the advertisement that you can take a picture of a title of the book and it will read the whole book is a scam.

По началу программа работала приемлемо, но постоянно что-то случается. Каждый раз запрашивают отчет. Сейчас в очередной раз читает тарабарщину. Написал им о этом. Запросили видео экрана (как читает) и файл (что читает). Честно говоря, за такую цену не ожидал столько геморроя.

Tricky Business
Was interested in the 3 day free trial (which that timeline for a reading app is inconsiderate especially given the cost) but apparently the free trial is only for the annual plan which I didn’t recall seeing so when I was instantly charged for what I thought was initiating my free trial I reached out within 10 minutes and hours later I was told they don’t do that and offered a gesture of 50% refund as sign of goodwill.
Simply horrible, they essentially just got $15 for my “interest” in them. Would have been $30 if I didn’t say/notice anything.
Update: they are giving the full refund… still watch out!
