Horrible
1 star because I can’t add 0 it skipped like three sentences at a time even photonic one page so I do not recommend this and it keeps asking for a subscription so yeah honestly just get a audio book

It’s a great app but they charged me 138 which was the full yearly payment the first month instead of the monthly payment

Skips full pages of the documents I need it to read aloud – if I was vision impaired, I would never have known how much information I was losing. Does not work as advertised.

The app is good for many things but even at premiere subscription I can’t get it to connect to and read kindle books. Peech seems to do this without issue.

I can’t describe how much this app has helped my work as an academic who suffers from attention difficulties. But it is quite surprising that some essential improvements haven’t been made yet. I don’t get why it’s so easy to read smoothly a word that is divided between two lines, but not two pages! I can’t see why the app doesn’t recognise simple things like “[t]he” as just “the”. I also wish there was a tool to add specific words or proper names from particular disciplines that are regularly mis-pronounced; the name of my discipline, which appears in 70% of what I read, is always mispronounced. The summary and chat tools are fantastic, as is the podcast tool. But it baffles me that there’s no way to control the length of the podcast (when the equivalent option is available on the summary tool!). The recent update has removed the option to tap on “+” and “-“ to zoom in and out, and it’s more difficult to see the time it would take to read the full document. Why?

Destroys Browsing Experience
It works fine on my laptop, but it’s impossible to use on my phone. It always opens a tab in my browser every 30 seconds. And I don’t think the team have a solution.

Free tier only offers non-AI robotic voices which can already be run natively on iOS without the app speechify, cost $140 a year to use, would recommend finding alternatives.
