Doesn’t work. Won’t pick up satellite. Only got it to work once by deleting and reinstalling. Couldn’t try any of features on free trial. So went back to cyclops.

Pretty good

Definitely worthwhile good app

Great App idea

100% happy with this app - particular the latest version. Well done

Doesn’t work

This app seems ideal, unfortunately it struggles to determine the speed for a particular road and when it does, it takes several minutes to change.

Speed Camera database

This app is really cool. Not ideal with speed limits alerts but also GPS pin drops of unmarked speed cameras. And it’s free.

No ads

Excellent app. I would like to see a advertisement free version. Apparently the vehicle speedo is 5 klm out to accommodate different rim sizes on the same car 16”, 18” etc.

5-star app. Worthless right now

Developer has been responsive in past, so giving benefit of the doubt for now…

Great app, but in the last month it has stopped working. Loads for a second, then crashes.

Hopefully fixed soon!!

Need landscape view!!

Hello again Pharoah808, Again please accept my sincerest apologies for the apps failure last year. Please check out the New v1.3.0(16) of the re-badged Speedo Minder as Speed Camera Club + Speed Limits for a new free version plus upgrade to no adverts for US$1.99 cheers Steve Hello Pharoah808, I apologise but the company who provided me with speed limits API license has pulled out of contract with me. Sadly they are not even honouring the 'users' (like you) that I have paid the license - for you to download. I am working on finding an alternative. I am very sorry. I guess you can try for a cancellation via Apple. regards Steve ******Update 2021-09-14 ******* I have a new contract with a HERE Mapping API re-seller. I'll be releasing a Free version of SM Pro by the end of September, in the hopes of providing my road safety app to all those purchasers who've been affected by the previous issue. Steve

It no longer works

App just crashes now when I try to use it since the latest update of iOS.

Great app

I’ve been using this for about a years now. My sat nab makes a little gentle noise when I’m speeding as apposed to this which you can set as loud as you like. Saves me from getting further ticketed. Ver simple to use. Highly Recomend.

No longer work

Bought three weeks ago. It worked well for a couple of days. Will not even load today.

Nope

You need to upgrade just to see what the speed limit is…

What’s going on?

I signed up for the trial—all good there. But, I can’t find anything about the free trial, or subscription in the usual place in the App Store.

I will be charged for the subscription if I don’t cancel before the trial ends, but there it isn’t listed in the usual place in the App Store.

I have no confirmation that I have cancelled the subscription!! Are the developers bypassing the App Store?

Tessie

Sooo good! Even with my phone screen locked whilst driving great to get the reminder to SLOW DOWN!

Really good drivers app

Best feature is the repeat alert. Great new dash layout too. Excellent

Not Impressed.

Worked fine through out the trial period, however, after the premium purchase the speed detector works fine but does not detect any fixed speed cameras within Western Australia.

I will not do the work of the app given the fact of the premium purchase, many have been installed years ago, and it should be referenced within the Here database.

Hello jonkenhod, Can you confirm that during the Trial period you were getting Fixed cam alerts but NOT after you paid for the app? You say it does not detect/alert you to ANY fixed speed cameras in WA? I guess it's a pain but you can 'add a fixed camera' to the HERE database via the link at the bottom of the Settings page. I have 'added' a few cameras here in Adelaide. They can take a while but eventually they're all there now. I've updated my country town speed limit from 60ks to 50ks. It took about 4 months but now it's perfect. Cheers Steve

I like it! True speed, not legislated speed.

This app is excellent! It gives you a GPS calculated speed, not that legislation crippled speed you get on the dial in your car. You will be doing the limit on the button, and be passing all the other clueless road users who don’t know they are going 5km/hr under. They will try to keep up, and then chicken out when their eyes look down.

5 stars if you can get it to detect when you hook it up to a car Bluetooth for auto starting. The phone certainly knows when it is has hooked up. Otherwise great work!

As seen on AutoExpert.

Thank man. I am also guilty?? of travelling right up there at or on the speed limit. So, yeah, I will set my cruise at the GPS speed of exactly the speed limit - which is usually about 3-5 above my car's speedo. So, I'm cool with that! Cheers Steve

Issue when actual speed > 55 MPH

Works great until traveling faster than 55 mph. At which point speedometer accuracy drops off and it starts reporting incorrect speed. Watched 65 turn to 95 temporarily in worse case example. Makes it difficult to trust the app by ear for motorcycle use. Otherwise works great!

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback Hairy Tarzan - it's important to know about a thing called GPS 'spike'. This is when you're travelling along at a fair tack and you jump from one 'set of Satellites to another set of Satellites' in the sky. This causes a GPS 'spike' . . . usually just a 4 or 5 mph jump . . .and only for a second or so . .. but it does happen and it causes a 'False Positive Alert'. So, at higher speed limits of travel set your Low-Level Alert to OFF . . .yes . . . toggle the Low Level OFF. And set your 'repeat alert' to about 6 seconds. . . And set the High-Level to like . . +6 or +7. Now, if you get a spike it will only PING once - then it'll 'reset' before it PINGs again. I travel at 80ks (50MPH) to work every day and that is my settings!! Cheers Steve

Awful

Did not alert one camera there were at least 4. Makes a good speedo but that’s it!

Response from developer

Further to your feedback Ringo_lee - please let me know what city and what traffic light intersection that the app has missed with the alert? I can update direct to HERE. Thanks . . . Steve Good to know Ringo. I will pass this onto HERE with their mapping updates. Can you advise if they were all fixed cameras or were some mobile covert speed cameras? The missing Fixed cameras can be passed onto HERE Mapping by the link at the bottom of the Settings page. Cheers Steve

No more speeding tickets for me!

A week ago I my first speeding ticket in 24 years, all because I was not paying attention. $200 down the drain. That won’t happen again. This app makes it easy to stay aware of the speed limit.

Response from developer

Excellent to hear Ancient Pistol . . .Cheers Steve
