Speedometer: Driving Tracker

Automatic Export • Save a copy of every trip to a folder the moment it ends. Turn it on in Settings > Data & Sync > Data Management > Export Data. • Choose any mix of GPX (route with time, speed and elevation, for map and fitness apps), CSV (one row per recorded point, for spreadsheets) and PDF (a one-page report with a route map). • Files land in the Speedometer folder in the Files app, or in a folder you pick. Pick one in iCloud Drive and every trip reaches your other devices as well. • It works however the trip ends: the stop button, CarPlay, a Shortcuts automation or an automatic ending. A trip cut off by the app closing is saved the next time Speedometer opens. • Free for everyone. Picture in Picture • Open When You Leave brings up the speed window by itself when you switch to another app from the Speedometer tab, so there is nothing to remember before a drive. You can limit it to when a trip is recording. • With the speed limit alert on, the window shows the limit in a red ring. • The window no longer freezes on its last speed when a trip ends while you are in another app. Video Recording • When a recording stops early, the app now tells you why: another app took the camera, the phone got too warm, or another app is sharing the screen. CarPlay • Ending a trip with the iPhone locked no longer freezes the speed on the car display. Also in this release • China map alignment now uses a detailed border outline, so routes close to the border line up with the roads. • New help entries on Picture in Picture and video recording.
