How do I get my money back?

I just signed up for this. Went to create my first custom list and the keyboard covers the continue button so there’s no way to complete the list? Does not work.

Pretty decent - and customizable- spelling app

PROS:
- Good, clear unaccented voice stating words
- ability to slow down the voice to hear more distinctly
- Three interactive different exercises to learn the correct spelling from, which makes it more fun and reinforces learning
- Ability to customize which exercise type(s) will be used
- ability to create your own custom word list (valuable feature!)
- Repeats exercise with words that were spelled incorrectly
- Praise given for correct answers by a warm encouraging voice
- Ability to add multiple children separately, so each has their own individual progression

CONS: - Initial interface is confusing; there is no indication of which levels correspond to school grades, or if they are even organized to parallel the specific spelling curriculum taught in each grade. Uncertain how the progression through levels is organized (by most common words? by high frequency words? by often mispelled words? a blend of everything?) It does not appear to be organized by the different phonic sounds, etc.
- custom word lists cannot be edited after creating, only deleted, which is annoying if you make an error while typing it
- praising voice gets a bit repetitive (Dev, add some short quick ones like "yeah!", "cool." "correct! "That's right.", "good job." with descending pitch for some, instead of the always-ascending pitch of an exclamation.)
- outside of the actual spelling exercise, order of buttons to click for lists and levels can be slightly confusing.
- no explanation as to why when you finish a set of questions in a level and are returned to the Levels Menu, that level is not yet finished, or why there are different numbers of question sets in different levels. This makes it impossible to know how long it will take to finish one level, which a person usually wants or hopes to complete in one sitting.
- a bug where the Level button doesn't display, but the clicking functionality for it IS present
(Dev, also please add Return to Main Menu (or Main Page, Home or Dashboard) button when a set of exercises has been completed. Because the set is finished, the user expects clicking Continue = "done here, close window and return to neutral home page. Instead they discover they are suddenly forced to do a new set of exercises or else their progress tracking is affected. To that end, it's even more crucial to allow the user to EXIT from a set of exercises that has been begun, WITHOUT recording/saving any of the responses. Mistakes happen, and an EXIT button with a sub-pop-up of Cancel this Set Without Saving Responses? paired with Continue or Cancel is realllly essential.

All pretty fixable, and mostly tweaks, thus still 4 stars!

Horrible app

Terrible app, has wiped out my list and now won’t let me access my account after paying $30 for a year subscription. Have only used it for 3 weeks. Absolute waste of money. Very frustrating

Best Spelling game even better than a spelling video!

This is the best spelling game ever they let you choose your character then they ask you to pay do the monthly one. It’s way shorter money I promise. and then you could pick your level. I am on level five right now and I promise this is for all ages. It helps me spell since I’m not a really good speller and my mom agreed to it too so your parents will probably agree to it because it’s really good and it’s also really fun and they and when you make mistakes they teach you how to do it and then at the end of your lesson they let you fix your mistakes

Frustrating

I purchased this app for the year because initial trial worked great. After weeks of personal use for child’s weekly spelling list The app became very difficult to use. Customize list began to disappear and I cannot get back. I cannot make any more profiles. The app simply doesn’t work. I would like my money back.

Excellent update!

New review: The update to include definitions is awesome! Would still like to see the lifetime price go down, but this app now offers a well-rounded way to learn new spelling words, bravo! Original review: Simple, easy to use. I like how you can maintain several different profiles, but the subscription app model is extremely tiring, and in this case the lifetime price is not at all reasonable, so I couldn’t in good conscience recommend an app that is so overpriced for what it is. Also I could only see using this frequently if it had a dictionary that would allow a user to have a definition of the word read aloud, as an option they could tap when spelling a word. A word means nothing if you don’t know what it means, and if it means nothing, you are less likely to remember the spelling.

The app is good and engaging. Need to have a way to disable the microphone as the user can just use voice to text for the spelling.

I like how you can maintain several different profiles, but the subscription app model is extremely tiring, and in this case the lifetime price is not at all reasonable, so I couldn’t in good conscience recommend an app that is so overpriced for what it is. Also I could only see using this frequently if it had a dictionary that would allow a user to have a definition of the word read aloud, as an option they could tap when spelling a word. A word means nothing if you don’t know what it means, and if it means nothing, you are less likely to remember the spelling.

The look and feel of the app is nice. However I wish it would use the words in sentences. To help grasp the definition. There’s an option for the word to be read aloud slower, which is very much appreciated. However sometimes it mispronounces some words. “Wolves” for example is one of them.

Overall it’s decent and it’s affordable.

Good idea

The program is good. But it is difficult to catch the pronunciation sometimes. Needs more precise pronouncing.
