Garbage and fees

The app is a little wonky, but overall not bad. My problem is that they bill in European currency so you get hit with an international fee for every charge to pay for a sub subscription with them. I reached out to Support before I even signed up and they guaranteed me that I would not be charged in foreign currency or foreign fees. I signed up for the first month and lo and behold. What was there foreign transaction fee fees. When I asked them about it, they gave me some canned response trying to blame it on my bank when I had clearly told them that I thought this was gonna happen from Square one, but they reassured me. It would not. Boy was I an idiot to believe that.

App is not scalable

Application UI size is not scalable and appears small and hard to navigate.
If I install the App from Chrome/Edge it looks much better.

Nice Look / Failed Execution

This is a failed attempt to transform an okay web product into a nice looking but non-functional mobile app. Entering basic hours should be quick, effortless, and intuitive, especially for someone who has spent their career developing applications. There’s no indication of why your hours won’t enter, and it simply sits there while you try different options to get it to work. After 15 minutes of troubleshooting, I returned to the web version. Ironically, you have to waste time just to enter time. Expected more.

Not great

Regular changes to functionality (sometimes reducing it) makes this a relatively poor option for time recording

Server down, no response, working hours gone

I’ve used a few clock in apps in places I’ve worked and this was the most stressful before I got acquainted to it. I got the app but it still logs me out everyday so I have to log back in on the app to clock it which is stressful. Worst part is sometimes it takes longer to login, and now for 3 days I’ve not been able to clock in because the server is down, I’ve reached out and no one is helping, the month ends tomorrow and I really need to put my hours in or 3 days of work, tomorrow making it 4, is gone without pay. I’ve used different browsers but it only let you view their website and the signin part does not open, I’ve cleared my cache and cookies, deleted and reinstalled my app still no difference. I’ve used all the browsers available on the internet.

Slow, freezing web frame

Can’t tap half the buttons or scroll, no user feedback on interaction. Loading, processing… janky web app that doesn’t work properly.

Good feature

I tried out the web version and very happy with it. So I downloaded the app. The app has room for improvements.

The web (free) version is comprehensively designed, user friendly. I’m didn’t watch the tutorial, picked it all up after playing with it for 15 minutes.

The app is good but has room for improvements, design layout wise.

Overall very happy. Surprised the free version has included quite a lot features! Keep up the good work!

Not user friendly

I’m not the most tech savvy person, but I can’t even clock in on this thing

Response from developer

Hi there, Thank you for your comment. Please contact us via chat or at support@myhours.com. If I understand correctly, you would like to use a timer view, but the weekly timesheet view is selected in your account settings. If you change this setting, you will be able to use 'Start' and 'Stop' buttons. Kind regards, My Hours Team

The app didn’t work for me

Was trying to register for two days in a row (read about the app in the Forbes advisor) but the screen kept showing “processing” and never let me enter neither my name nor my email and pw 😬 (I have iPhone 12 pro)

Doesn't work

Was looking forward to the new version fixing the 'infinite loading on report screen' bug, but now the app doesn't work at all.

Can't get past the 'Get started' button now, so it's actually worse than before.

Nearly there but not quite

Almost good but not quite good enough for me to pay the ‘pro’ upgrade. It needs a mechanism to have rates by day not hour; also the reporting on the pro version should be more configurable. Eg compare months etc, finally don’t think I can add Vat to invoices. So it just about does what I need in the free version but doesn’t give me enough to ‘go pro’

Doesn’t work

Doesn’t let you close account

Does not have delete account button

Apple is enforcing this. Please add. Thanks.

3 stars but without this feature 1 star

Doesn’t work

I can’t log anything as it takes forever to process anything on the app.

So far - amazing

So I never, ever write reviews. But I had to on this one. I work in construction and I manage multiple projects at a time and I’m constantly struggling to keep track of my time spent on each of these, so that I can bill each client appropriately. The website is amazing at helping me do this. And the app so far compliments this very well. I can input my hours on the fly and modify notes which later help me bill. I’m even going to use this for my supervisors so I can see where they spend most of their time. I’ve tried a couple of time keeping apps and this one is by far the easiest one I have found. Love it. I’ll send in some suggestions soon but to explain how convinced I am I found the right app, I signed up for the pro program on my second day of having the free demo. I still have 12 days free left and I already paid for the program. Bravo guys… keep it rolling!

Excellent -

As an accountant, I have used the built in timesheets that come with accounting software (e.g. Digita or Iris). I’ve now gone freelance and have been looking for something similar and this is it and much better!

I like that I can set up clients and add tasks as well as projects, without “needing” to set them all up. It’s left to me to decide what to use. There’s excellent tutorial videos via YouTube - definitely worth a watch. However, it’s very intuitive as well.

The best bit is you can try the Pro version without committing to it and the Free version is excellent as well. For now, while I build up my client base, the free version is perfect, but I can see myself moving to the pro version in the near future.

It’s worth watching the videos and having a play around (you can delete dummy clients/projects very easily). They have made it very easy to use.
