Glitchy

The colour of my pen in the app appears different to the colour I used on the book. The flash card feature worked terribly but still good if wanted to scan stuff quickly to take on the go.

Great potential, needs improvements

This app has the potential of becoming THE best studying app, it free and if used properly, it will improve your studying productivity.

But just by using for 1 day, i found many problems and i believe fixing those issues will be an easy fix.

So please do something about it, here are some key improvements that can be made, if you guys want, contact me and I can patch it myself:

1 - if the question i write takes up a line and a half and then I write the answer on the second line, when i capture the photo and use the front scan to take the question, the answer will be shown and it’s like I really didn’t test myself.

Solution: add a toggle feature to draw on the photo(different color options would be great).

This way I can hide the answer and then i can use the back scan to complete the flash card.

2 - If I used the normal camera mode and took a picture sideways, the picture becomes useless bcz it stays sideways. You can obviously still get some use out of it, just make sure when ur using your flash cards, turn on portrait orientation lock on and so u can hold ur phone sideways to be able to read the question

Solution: add a button to rotate the picture, problem solved.

3 - speaking of normal camera mode, sometimes I a picture will a lot of unnecessary background stuff, it distracting takes up the photo size.

Solution: Crop Photo, now it already exists in the app, but to use that option, first you need to go to a book / notes tab / recent / choose note / press edit / press crop.

It’s a drag, and time consuming, why not have the option to crop when taking a photo on the get go.

AND, cropped images should have their own folder without being mixed with notes alone.

4 - speaking of photos again😅, why not allow to upload images from memory, I could upload a image and edit to become a flash card.

And also have the ability to upload it from within the photos app directly using the share button.

5 - there’s not need for the camera mode to zoom in images, but zooming in while editing the taken photos ( to edit the scan edges is a yes ), almost every time I’m adjusting the edges to move around, end up moving the other one, or if the answer i’m scanning is small in size, editing becomes a nightmare.

It becomes time consuming and very annoying, if i can zoom in a photo to adjust the scan edges, that would be great.

6 - sometimes this happens but when I start placing the edges to the adjacent lines, I mistake front to back scans, then I start to moving things around, if i move one edge above the other, i won’t be able the move the other scan from its spot.

Solution: add a button when making the flash card where if i press it, the front and back scans swap to their interchanging positions, make sure that button is placed somewhere on the screen where the chance is low to accidentally press it.

7 - there is only one app preference option, flash default, how about a new on that many people might have different preference but how about having the ability to choose which side of the flash card to start with, like right now, when i take a photo, and start editing it, i’ll get front scan first, it’s annoying

8 - You know when i press search for specific words and only one specific page pulls up, if I press on it, the page doesn’t open but instead I just enter the book that is associated to it, if you guys were worried that “I just wanted to know which book this word or term is associated to”, if i search it and the page appears, add a book background to the note/paper, like it will show the note, and the book cover will appear behind it, if I have many books with the same color, add a feature where if i touch and hold it, I can see which book is this

Can it be any better!

I am so lucky to be in Australia because it is everywhere. I used the Spirax study notebooks and never would I ever have to take an hour to make a stack of flash cards when we have this. The incorporation of a notebook and an app that work together is awesome. Would definitely be used for studying.

Great for scanning

If you don’t have access to or just can’t be bothered using a scanner, this app is a really good way to get a high quality image of your page

Amazing

Read my notes perfectly and was able to have sub folders for certain topics
