What's New in Splittr

2.17.3

July 23, 2026

New in 2.17.3: • We fixed a bug that could occur in a rare combination: when a group's base currency was changed while some devices had not yet synced their data. Balances and equalization payments now show correctly in this case as well. New in 2.17.2: • Fixed a crash that could occur when swiping on entries with VoiceOver • In rare cases a group image could be missing, now fixed • Refinements to custom splits: in very rare cases an amount could display differently, now reliably correct New in 2.17.1: • Small improvements and text fixes. New in 2.17.0: Recurring expenses are here! Set up expenses, income and payments once and we'll add them automatically at the interval you choose. • Report times now shown in your own time zone • Various smaller bug fixes Raphael ;)

Recurring bills

Missing recurring billing. Please add. Perfect app if this was added.

Edit Apr2026: okay I have downloaded a ton of these Apps and none are as good as this one. I will replace this App if I can find one with AI recurring billing. I’ll even accept it if it only has recurring billing. This App generates a very good pdf report. Most are .csv and not informative. PLEASEEEEEE UPDATE APP!!

Edit: Jul 1, 2026 -WOW! I’m so excited that you’re back. I still can’t find an App like this one. Please add Recurring billing. Needing to recreate the same bills each month is tiring! Welcome back!!

Edit: Jul 21. 2026 -THANK YOU SO MUCH for adding the recurring feature. Can’t wait to see the additional features.

Awesome! A couple suggestions…

Best app for splitting expenses that I’ve ever used. Best parts are “shares” on a per group basis, the stats report, and the settlement page!

1). Add the ability to “group” members together for share consolidation and even settlement. For example, I’m using it for an upcoming family reunion at a rental house. I’ve assigned shares to each member in attendance based on how many days they’re at the house. However, some of the parents are covering the cost for their kids or family group. It would be. Ice to be able to say a “family owes X” rather than me trying to consolidate those payments, it would be nice to be able to combine payouts or responsibility.

2). Add support for Venmo and Zelle!

FAQ

What does Splittr do?

Splittr is an application designed to help users easily split group expenses. It allows you to add expenses as they happen, and the app automatically calculates who owes whom and how much. This is ideal for vacations, shared living situations, or any group activity where costs need to be divided.

How does Splittr handle uneven expense splitting?

Splittr can handle uneven expense splitting, which is useful when participants benefit differently from an expense or when purchasers pay different amounts. You can input who paid how much, and the app's intelligent algorithm will accurately calculate the final balances.

Is Splittr free to use?

The application is free to download and use, but it does offer in-app purchases and may display advertisements. Specific features or an ad-free experience might be available through these in-app purchase options.

Can I use Splittr without an internet connection?

Yes, Splittr works offline, meaning you can add and manage expenses even when you don't have an internet connection. The app will sync with friends once a connection is re-established, ensuring all group members have the latest information.

What are the benefits of using Splittr for group trips?

For group trips, Splittr simplifies the often complicated process of tracking shared costs like gas, accommodation, and meals. It eliminates the need for manual calculations or relying on memory, ensuring fair and accurate division of expenses among travelers.
