Requires everyone to have an account to split
I just want an app to let me say how many people, give them names, and do the dividing. Any app that requires all the people on the check to make an account is ridiculous.
Charged & No Reply
Downloaded this app to split the bill for a birthday brunch. A girl in the group recommended it. Good idea, but for an annual subscription of $45, I can do math myself. I saw there was a “free 3 day trial” and after taking care of the bill, I deleted my account so I wouldn’t be charged. However, I guess going into the app and deleting your account doesn’t work? After 3 days I got charged $45 for my “annual subscription.” Turns out you have to physically go into your settings and apps and cancel the subscription. Not sure why deleting my account after 1 day into the free trial didn’t work. So, I reached out to the support email to see if there was anything they could do to possibly reimburse me. $45 is not a small amount for something I will never use again. Never got a reply from the tech support and I thought at least I’d get a response saying they cannot refund me. Poor customer service and not clear on how to make sure you don’t get charged the subscription fee.

No longer functional!
No app updates in 2 years. Website is non-functional. App has bugs that won’t let me log out of editing mode so friends can’t itemize and pay. Apple needs to drop this from the App Store if it’s no longer supported and updated.

I have never left a review for any app, ever. But this one is so fantastic I had to! This makes things so much easier when going out with friends. Life saver!
Good, couple improvement ideas
Good interface, hard to tell how many Splits I have. Also want to be able to make “dummy” participants because I can just assign them to items myself vs everyone individually having to join
Great for young ppl in the city
So good - a must have if you split meals with friends. $40 a year is a bit steep but the convenience of not having to do math to split things is amazing
Can’t use without giving access to all contacts
Costs too much, also makes me give access to contacts, I can’t add people manually. No thank you! When I tried to delete my account that also didn’t work.
Nobody in Canada has venmo
I can’t create a splyt without having a venmo or cash app account? Those don’t even exist in Canada. This should not be on the Canadian App Store.
Will bill you for free trial
This app will automatically bill the credit card you have on file with Apple for a free trial that you cancel within the appropriate timeframe if the app isn’t useful for your purposes.

This app makes it possible to split the bill exactly as it would be if you had separate checks.
You have to upload the receipt before it shows you the items. And they cannot be assigned until you invite people. I recommend doing a test receipt first to get familiar with it. Ask a friend to help you so you can send them the link as a test.
Once you figure it out, it’s incredible! My favorite feature is that it splits the tax & tip by only your items. It does not split it evenly by the amount of people splitting the bill.

Subscription needed…? Really?
Cool UI but dude… I need a subscription to use this? Let’s face it-these bill splitter apps are glorified spreadsheets…
There’s plenty other apps like this that are simple and non-predatorial. If you want to make money on this app I suggest taking another angle

Add an offline functionallity
For $40 a year, I expect more. This app is completely useless if one person doesn’t have a phone/internet.
Amazing App
I have tried many bill splitting apps. This has been one of my favorites. My friends have also started using it. It is extremely user friendly and does a well job in capturing receipts and splitting it. I also love that it’s easily customizable to receipts that may have some other service charges that are added that are harder to capture in other apps that I have used previously. Highly recommend downloading this app!

FINALLY SOMETHING THAT WORKS!
Wow my friend got me to try this app and I’m never going back. Definitely buying the paid version. Super fast, user friendly, and easy to share. Finally something that works!!
Nice idea but…
I love this idea and it definitely works well. The only thing that is annoying is I want to be able to just spit the bill on MY end without having to invite people. I picked up the bill at a restaurant and days later my friends reminded me to charge them. I remember exactly what everyone got and partook in and want to be able to just assign the items to my friends quickly on my end just to calculate what they owe me, but i HAVE to invite my friends to the bill in order to do that? I just want there to be a way to skip the invite step and be able to use the split function to avoid the awkwardness of sending my friends an app invite just to do the calculations

Subscription not honored
I made a subscription but it does not work and it shows that I still have the free version. There is no contact information for the developer to help troubleshoot or get a refund. What a waste of money

hands down the best app to split a bill
i’m always going to big group dinners and lunches and this is by far the best app to use to pay for exactly what you got. I love the pre-split feature for shared items so you don’t have to wait for everyone to find out how much you owe. not to mention the tip/tax is applied to your subtotal so you’re not paying extra. it’s very quick and easy and directs you straight to venmo to pay :)
