Worked a treat
For a first timer without experience, this worked great for me. Super sharp photos and videos from my iPhone 16PM. Very ergonomic under water. Couple of niggles:
- the provided laniard is too short
- the provided batteries died on the second day with not enough warning
Battery usage on the phone was no issue for me. Following the manual’s advice of switching to airplane mode and quitting all apps let me do a full day’s diving (3 dives) without opening the enclosure, and still have ample power at the end of the day. But next time, I’ll use a brand new set of batteries for the enclosure every day, unless i’m certain to be able to open the enclosure part way through the day.

I had an issue with the housing. The support staff were friendly and very helpful. Got housing back fast and functioning like new!
LOVE the Smart Phone SeaLife Housing Case!
Several Years ago, (first year they were available?!) I purchased the Housing for my wife’s IPhone, since She loved taking pictures while diving; She seldom was able to include herself in the photo nor able to get the nicer shots with an older GoPro. I purchased the case for Her as a present, but ended up using it most of the time after Her seeing what great pics and video I took with it! Less than a year later, I bought a SECOND case so She could still take pics and video of her own (i.e., Both of us with our own while diving! The past few years, I’ve had many opportunities to dive without my wife present, thanks to a “job” 😊 allowing Me to visit several ideal diving locations! On a recent dive, I noticed my case locking knob becoming so loose, I could spin it 360 degrees around the housing with it open, yet the case ALWAYS pressurized fine after the Timeout. I thought this could be tightened, but wanted to confirm by calling Bjorn for assistance He gave me over the phone a few days ago, In fact, I purchased BOTH cases from Bjorn, answering ANY questions I had for the product over the years. Bjorn told me the cap on the knob was merely a cover, easily able to pry off with small screwdriver, displaying the small locking phillips screw. I was easily able to tighten the screw "just enough" to return the locking knob back to it original tightness. Bjorn recommended a small amount of silicone glue over the screw to keep it in place, and minimize any moisture from entering just the locking knob. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN for your “over the phone service,” Bjorn! I can tell You since owning your fine product, I'm pretty sure my satisfaction using your case has had DOZENS of fellow divers ordering one! In fact, at the Beaches Resort several years ago, one of the Dive Guides CANCELLED his expensive camera order to purchase a SeaLife phone housing at a greatly reduced price, after seeing the excellent pics and video I was able to show him. As a courtesy to fellow divers on guided trips the past few years, I’ve taken Family or Dive Buddy Group pics to airdrop or e-mail to fellow Divers I just met! I wouldn’t be surprised if many of those pics or videos I’ve shared sold several more of this EXCELLENT product! Thank You again, Bjorn! RB

App freezes mid dive
iPhone 16 pro max, app freezes mid dive with no way to reset it until you take the phone out of the housing. Complete waste of money. Latest version of sport diver app and using iOS 16.4
Don’t use the Sealife Ultra
The app keeps freezing, the shutter stops working. Absolutely not fit for purpose. I am on my second Sealife ultra case and it is doing the same thing It has ruined my last three dive trips. I am asking for my money back when I get back to the UK
Excellent Product
SeaLife Sport Diver housing and application have been a pleasure to work with. The company clearly believes in continual improvement. As they get feedback from customers and beta testers about any bugs, they promptly fix them. Their updates to the features and functionality have been very worthwhile improvements. The company seems to have built its reputation on both great products as well as customer service, and it shows! When I dive I bring both my bigger rig which is a full frame camera and housing as well as my Sport Diver. More often than not I get better results from the SportDiver because I’m relying on the high quality point and shoot nature of my iPhone 17 ProMax. My hat is off to the company and its management for designing and standing behind such solid quality products.

Excellent
Customer support is outstanding - I had a few issues with a new release that they were able to help me with within minutes. The photos I took on my first dive trip with the housing were fabulous and the app was pretty easy to use for a novice.

The app was perfect until the iPhone update then it was not working. After contacting support they sent me a beta that was a perfect fix and I was up and running quickly. Support was super helpful. I love the product and the app is easy to use.

Bad way to start
After accepting access settings that app force crashes and will not open. I have uninstalled several times and restarted my phone several times. It’s not us it’s you SeaLife. Stop telling people to restart their phones.

Love the pictures; Hate the app doesn’t like to work properly
The camera housing is great. I’ve used it a few times and have taken some amazing pictures, but the app itself doesn’t like to work properly. When clicking on the app, it’ll look like it opens but then automatically closes as if it’s thinking about opening and says no. I’ve tried deleting the app and re-installing and still doesn’t work. In a situation where you have to set up quickly, this would not be the housing camera to use.

Latest update crashes immediately / makes housing worthless
App auto updated yesterday and now crashes immediately upon opening. Have tried every troubleshooting option for updating phone, clearing caches, even downloaded the app on another phone. Still crashes immediately upon opening. The expensive housing is now useless. Very frustrated to have spent so much money on the housing and booking dive tours and filling up my suitcase only to have it be completely worthless. Will be demanding a refund/return. Absolutely not cool.

The app kept crashing when I was trying to use it. Very frustrating when trying to dive and not having internet to troubleshoot….
Ease use - only basic functions
App walks you through setup with the case, making it intuitive and easy. Raw video and manual exposure/focus options are great.
Shame there isn’t support for the full capabilities of the newer iPhones (support for ProRes log video), that’d would be great to see in later development.

Straight forward and convenient underwater photography!
I’ve been using this camera housing in Bonaire with my iPhone 15 and it has been a joy! Keep in mind I am not a professional photographer.
The main pro for me is that I have access to my photos immediately after diving. And since they are in the photos app, editing is a snap. Picture quality obviously depends on a variety of factors but I am very happy with my photos thus far.
Another pro is that setup is a breeze. Additionally, the app gives me a bit of peace of mind taking my phone in the water because it analyzes the housing seal before diving.
The downside in my case so far is macro photography. I am planning on adding some of the accessories such as lights and lenses to improve macro and lighting quality.
Overall, if you are looking for a way to simply snap pictures using the camera you already own, this is the solution.

Great but flawed
This takes some getting used too, if you don’t follow the instructions carefully the app will crash underwater. But, if you follow instructions then it works.
Takes longer to set up as the case pressure checks itself for leaks - this is a good thing.
Would like to see support for higher resolution iPhone 15 onward, inc control over aperture, focus and greater resolution.
Good battery life - can leave phone in between dives and the battery isn’t drained.
This app has so much potential…
Photos I’ve taken with SportDiver case and app (plus 2x video lights) have matched a friend’s images using SLR and strobe set up for quality.

Missing Video Formats
The app was working well until the latest update. I have the iPhone 13 Pro and I was able to take video in 4K at 60 fps and now I can only do 1080p at 60 fps. Please go back can allow all the video formats
Stopped working on iPhone
The app was great, now it force closes immediately after opening. Hope they fix this!
Love using but…
We bought out first housing in 2021 and had a great time with it. Had an issue with the sensor being messed up and customer service helped us out in a big way. Got a new housing and it has not worked the same as the first one. It either freezes or knocks me out of the app in the beginning of my dive or between dives. I sent a message for help and i’ve received no reply. I love the quality of photos and videos I’ve been able to take. But i’m disappointed it’s not as reliable as it used to be.
