Hi. We're sorry to hear this... I've triple-checked and we haven't received an e-mail from you. Are you certain you're messaging info@keystagefun.co.uk? Every message to that address gets an immediate autoresponder that includes the override passcode, so you should have received that if you sent us an e-mail (worth checking your junk folder if you have one). We always aim to respond within 24 hours to all messages, so this is not usual for us. We've checked Facebook and replied to what may be your message (hard to tell as we don't know your name) with the override code. If that wasn't you, then please message us on @keystagefun on X (formerly Twitter) or Instagram. We are a lot more active on those platforms that Facebook, so it's likely we'd see a message sooner. Sorry about all this - not an experience we want people to have at all so my apologies - we'll revisit our Facebook settings and see if we can set up an alert for all new messages. Thanks... If you can e-mail us on info@keystagefun.co.uk and be more specific about exactly what it happening and what version of iOS you're using then we can try and resolve the issue, meaning you (and anyone else experiencing this problem) can continue to use the app without these frustrations. Doesn’t work with iPad magic keyboard
However, I’m really frustrated to have got a magic keyboard to allow my dyslexic son to get the benefit of developing muscle memory, typing while spelling, only to find the app doesn’t support the keyboard.
Please Squeebles, could you sort this out?! Being dyslexic too I found touch typing allows me to think in whole words while my fingers know the patterns - I don’t have to concentrate on spelling in the same way you do when writing by hand. Often repeated keystrokes - so words or syllables - become automatic. It’s a game changer for many dyslexic people - and Squeebles Spelling could be just that little bit better at supporting us. Thank you!
Small but huge design fault

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to send a review and sorry to hear your child has found aspects of the keyboard layout frustrating. The in-app keyboard deliberately mimics the layout of other, built in keyboards and hardware keyboards, where the delete or backspace button is directly above the enter button. It's not something we've had anyone else get in touch to mention, which means I'm afraid it's unlikely to be something we'd change at this stage, as that would involve making the layout different from other keyboards. Doing that has its own set of issues in terms of consistency and children learning how to use a keyboard. All I can recommend is encouraging your child to take their time when pressing delete. We were aware of an issue on some much older versions of iOS. This has now been fixed and you should be able to download version 7.6 from the App Store. Obviously if you have a moment to update your review to reflect the app and how you have found it, now the issue is resolved, that would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

Basically my 6 yo daughter comes home with spellings on a Monday for a test on Friday. You can guarantee by Tuesday they have vanished, been ‘misplaced’ and then there’s some sort of drama about replacing them etc etc
Since purchasing this app I’ve had ZERO problems! She comes in with the spellings on a Monday. I put them into the iPad via the app, hey presto she somehow doesn’t ‘misplace’ the iPad all week and I enforce a practice test daily.
Result is my stress level has reduced massively & her spelling result has improved dramatically! Wins all round.
Would 100% recommend to any UK parent. There’s no American spelling/voice over nonsense. Plus you can download random tests from various key stages to further reinforce learning.

Microphone doesn’t work

Hi. Have you allowed the app access to the microphone via your device’s privacy settings? If not the recording functionality will be blocked. This is standard for all iOS apps. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure SqueeblesSP is set to the ON position. That should solve it, but if any more problems, please email info@keystagefun.co.uk Thanks Ian
Best spelling app I have found
If the app makers change it so that the child’s account can be linked between devices then I will give a five star as that is all that seems to be lacking with this app.
