About
The visitor center closed 10 minutes before you arrived — never again.
Stamp Rescue is the passport-stamp companion for anyone chasing National Park Service cancellation stamps. We've mapped 1,015 stamp stations across 474 national parks, monuments, historic sites, seashores, and other NPS units — with real, station-level hours, not just a park's general operating hours.
REAL HOURS, NOT GUESSES
Most map apps show you a pin. We show you whether that visitor center, campground kiosk, or trading post is actually open right now — because a stamp station keeps its own hours, separate from the park gate. Of the stations with confirmed hours, 9 in 10 close by 5pm — often hours before the park itself does.
OPEN NOW & CLOSING SOON
See which stations are open at this exact moment, and get an early warning when one is about to close, so you're not the person banging on a locked door at 4:31pm.
PLAN A MULTI-PARK STAMP RUN
Road-tripping through several parks in a day or a week? Build a route across multiple parks and stations and see it laid out in the order that actually makes sense for your trip.
LOG EVERY VISIT
Save each stamp with a note, a photo, and — if you want it — your GPS location. Location and photos are always optional; you can log a visit with nothing but a park name if you prefer.
BUILT WITH THE COMMUNITY
Hours change, stations move, and sometimes a stamp disappears entirely. When something looks wrong, you can flag it, and verified community reports help keep the map accurate for the next visitor.
DAILY DATA, NO GUESSWORK
Park, visitor center, and alert data sync from the National Park Service's own public data daily, so closures and changes show up fast.
Stamp Rescue is an independent, fan-made app built by a solo developer and national park enthusiast. It is not produced by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the National Park Service or the U.S. Department of the Interior.
