I completely understand why a free limited version or a one-time purchase would be preferred. However, as an independent developer, opting for a subscription model is what allows me to cover ongoing maintenance and server costs, continuously improve the app, and keep the experience completely ad-free and privacy-focused without relying on data-tracking ads. To clarify, the app operates on a premium-only model, which is why the subscription screen cannot be bypassed or dismissed, an active subscription is required to open and use its features. - I think that the concept for the app is overall really intriguing and fun
- making stamps is very easy and quick to do
- I like the way that the stamps are organized
- the UI is intuitive and well done
- I do think that asking scrappers to pay a subscription instead of a one time fee is going to be difficult. Scrappers tend to prioritize physical items rather than digital items anyway and trying to ask for a sub subscription for a digital item is probably not the best idea. Wrong target audience
- the add-ons like tape and stickers are very cute but we need more of them, and we need them to be in categories or sets (ie a cottagecore set, or the ability to sort by color)
- perhaps releasing optional paid DLCs with new sets of add-on items could replace the subscription fee
- there are only enough add-on items for me to be able to make five or six pages before they all look like the exact same page
- you could also introduce the ability to create custom add-ons from your camera roll by using a background remover (custom stickers and custom backgrounds would probably be the easiest)
I think if you get the app right now, you’ll probably use it three or four times and then stop. There’s just not enough in app content to a warrant using it for a continuous period of time. It’s a really cool concept, but it’s not fully imagined yet so it just feels gimmicky.
