Not exactly what I thought it’d be
I paid $10 for the animated anatomy feature thinking it’d be like a video explaining the pronunciation. It’s just a picture with an animated line. I tried to restore the purchase but it doesn’t do anything when selected. Personally this app hasn’t been helpful to me

I provided a 1 star review regarding pricing. Today I opened it and all was working. Thus far I wish there were more videos, but at least is helpful in showing how to place the tongue. Some recording and confirmation of sound with a percentage would improve this app.

Be aware
I paid to unlock the videos, started with the letter b, when I checked letter z, asked me to pay again to unlock the videos. So far seems that you pay 13$ for 4 letters… if I had known I would have not even bothered. If this is a bug, I can change my review if fixed.
Useful app. Pity no updates.
Very useful for pronunciation. Some errors with the pinyin with tone marks on the wrong letters. No updates to the app which is a shame. Would be great if the paid animations would show the pronunciation for the complete word and not just the individual sounds.

This app is extremely helpful for the Mandarin student who wishes to master the tonal aspect of the Chinese language.
Some good aspects
This app is off to a good start introducing most of the initial sounds of mandarin in combination with the finial and vowel sounds. However, you cannot search the sounds by finial/vowel sound. Additionally, some of the phonemes and syllables do not have a corresponding recording to play, which seems just to be an app error.
There is no feedback ability in the app so whether or not you are accurately reproducing the sounds is not measured.
The best aspect of the app is the animated visualisations of how to move your mouth in order to produce accurate sounds. This is very useful. However, in order to use this resource fully you must pay the in app purchase fee of 9.99. I am looking for an app to help my husband learn Mandarin. It's too bad it doesn't seem fully realised yet.

Good content. I got this app for the anatomy diagrams ($10 IAP), but ad removal for $10 seems overpriced.
Underwhelming and expensive
I would give the free part of the app 2 stars and the additional 'anatomy' feature 1 star. Hence 2 stars overall.
The free part is basically providing audio of every possible sound in Chinese. Underwhelmingly presented, but also fine, I guess.
However, $12.99 is far too much to pay for the 'anatomy' feature. Please save your money people.

The idea is good, but the execution of the infographics is underwhelming and don't actually help. Take for example the 'r' sound and 'zh' sounds; the infographics do not show enough detail to teach you the differences between these sounds. The images look basically the same, and there is a very loose description in text. For $12.99, I'm sorry but you should do a lot more that this.

This app is free but if you want no ads you must pay $9.99, AND if you want a diagram of how to say it you must pay another $9.99! They do not offer a demo version, so unless you want to pay this, you will have to fork it over. 真是敲竹杠呀！
