Do Not Recommend
You’d think for $400+ on a mount, you could actually use said supported app right? Wrong. I 100% can’t recommend this app, or even the purchase of a Sky Watcher mount until this is fixed. We as the consumers shouldn’t have to settle for an app that doesn’t work, or have to jump through hoops to get a connection to something that should be seamless from the get go.
Do better guys. This is terrible. And Apple should pull this from the store until you guys can at the least make consumer compliance with an app that actually works.

Will not connect to my Sky Watcher
This app looks really great. But it won’t connect to my tracker so it loses all functionality for me. I see on other reviews that it worked until the last update a year ago. Surely it should be fixed by now.
Dithering kills the plan
When you enable dithering for your astrophotography plan, one image will be taken, the mount will dither, then the mount will stop and no more images will be taken. No good !!!
Works great!
Works great, simple and to the point. Does what it says with no connection issues.
Still has bugs
Got the app to connect to star adventurer 2i to control camera. Can only connect to sa 2i’s ad how network but not actually remote control the camera shutter.
Does not work on iOS :(
I assume this is a good app but there is no way to make it work on iphone 13/ ios 15.5. IPhone connects to Star Aventurer 2i but the console does not recognize this connection and is therefore useless for me.
Broken app
Doesn’t connect or show my longitude/latitude in Southern Hemisphere. PS Align is a much better app for that help
Polar clock utility issue
Polar clock utility won’t work, it can’t get GPS information from my iPhone to work, I have to use a third party app PS Align Pro to align my tracker. It did work initially for a short time, I’ve tried the other functions for time lapse and don’t know if they still work.
App works again
UPDATE 12 February: connectivity issue is fixed, I can now control the mount using iPhone 12. Leaving earlier comment below but updating rating given it is now usable.
Today was my first attempt to use the SkyWatcher mount I received as a gift, pretty frustrating that I wasted so much time battling with this app on my iPhone. As others report, connecting via WiFi seems to work ok (mount LED turns solid green) but this app can’t see the device. I thought I would try my iPad Pro (WiFi only, no cellular) and it works fine. I also was able to connect a Windows laptop. I see no reason why this shouldn’t work on iPhone. I’m not filled with confidence in the app / support / mount given there is no route to actually report this issue to the developer / manufacturer of the mount so my only option seems to be to leave a 1 star review and hope it gets attention.

Broken app
The app worked fine with previous devices but now the latest update has stopped discovering devices. It connects to the unit as a wifi device but when you try to add the star adventurer it shows no device found. So without a working app I have a useless piece of astronomy equipment.
App no longer working - very frustrating
This app worked with my iPhone when I used it three weeks ago. Today it won’t connect to my phone. So I tried connecting to my iPad and it seemed to work. But when I tried to run Astrophotography, I got a “Communication error” - very frustrating after hours setting up on a really cold night.
New update prevents iOS app from connecting to Star Adventurer 2i
The iOS version of this App worked really well using my iPhone to control the Star Adventurer 2i until the latest iOS version of the app was released a couple of weeks ago - however unfortunately since then the current iOS app cannot connect to the Star Adventurer 2i even though the iPhones WiFi is connected to the Star Adventurer 2i wifi. I do not see a way to go back to the older version of the app and I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the App but no change. It might be possible that the updated firmware for the 2i would allow the iOS app to work under the latest version but the website with the firmware update only uses windows computers and I only have access to Mac computers. I am hoping support reads these reviews and addresses the issue for iOS users. I noticed a couple of other reviews mentioned the same issue after the latest app upgrade. I have attempted to contact support directly but no response yet.

Disappointed
Got my new Star Adventurer 2i set up only to find the app shows “No Signal” in the Polar Clock Utility after connecting iPhone to SA. Please update!
App is broken
Last rev does not ask for access to location services or local network and as such can’t find the phone location or access the adventurer using Wi-Fi. Need urgent fix !
Not working
Seems like the most recent update broke the app. Can no longer connect to my star adventurer. Not sure what they did, but this app is completely broken without that capability
Not suitable for iOS-should be removed from store
This app claims to be for both iOS and android. It works OK on android. It does not work on iOS. It is intended to control the sky watcher star adventurer over its own internal Wi-Fi network. With iOS your phone can connect to the ad hoc network broadcast by the sky watcher. But in iOS the app itself cannot connect to the sky watcher mount, so nothing can be controlled. Tested on two android devices and four iOS devices running iOS version 15. If I could give it zero stars I would.
