Obviously free is nice, but then ads are required, or worst schemes to find revenue to support ongoing updates. These days, that requires intrusive videos, level blocks and similar. As a company, we’ve decided not to do any of that and instead focus on gameplay that benefits customers and not advertisers. Unfortunately that means we need payment in some other way. We’ve tried to price it fairly, and also provide both subscription and outright purchase plays options as some people prefer one over the other (though traditionally subscriptions will earn more for the developer). Thanks for giving the game a try. I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you prefer ad-based schemes, fortunately we have a couple of great competitors who cater to that. Happy puzzling! Thanks for that thoughtful feedback! Having more stats is interesting. We spent a lot of time intentionally trying to keep everything about the puzzle minimal, to allow focus on the puzzle solving without distractions - like pencil and paper. However, that doesn't rule out more detailed stats like we provide in our other apps, as you've suggested, like "how close to expert time". Note that we do have undo, though no redo. I'll ponder that as well. Finally, I am intrigued by the colors idea. Do you envisage a set of different "themes" essentially I wonder, to allow choosing for personal taste, or perhaps better contrast for accessibility? Puzzle Baron - finally mobile optimized
I do wish that the bell curve for completion time could be ported to the app instead of the “expert +1” feature (but it’s better than nothing). A “clear” button to start over would also be nice.

Good news! Clear is already there. Tap the puzzles stars/size at the top left of the board and a Clear button will appear at the top right of the board (i.e. like selecting a new difficulty but instead starting over). We didn't want to leave Clear there all the time to avoid accidental taps. Thanks so much for the kind words, and we'll definitely think about the bell curve idea. Happy puzzling! Thank you! Good news, there is already a timer + rating! If you solve the puzzle faster than most people, without using hints, you'll get an "Expert" badge. There's also a "Zen" mode where nothing shows at all for those that prefer not to be rated (though it still keeps track in case you want to peek occasionally). One small glitch with auto-elimination of squares neighboring a star: when you test a spot and remove it, the dots from previous stars also remove
