Can’t Cancel subscription
I keep getting charged for a subscription on my Apple Card that is not showing up in my Apple subscriptions.
Waste of money
Overcharged me and wouldn’t cancel my subscription and forced me to cancel my card after using it to finish a story
SCAM ALERT
I wanted to subscribe they took my payment but didn’t let me access the subscription saying payment failed but the money was already deducted from my account. It’s huge SCAM advise people NOT to Download and USE the app
Cancellation difficulties
I paid for a limited trial, I went to cancel, but it states cancellation requests take 7 days, which is past my trial date. Sneaky way to ensure you charge them the higher price
Horrible
Do not use this app it is a trap. You can’t cancel once you sign up and they just charge you even after requesting a cancellation. I will be reporting to the proper departments over the shady practices and disputing the charges I have received after requesting a cancellation.
Very shady
I accidentally signed up for the trial and canceled it right away. Still got charged the trial fee - fine, a stupid tax. But then I got charged again after the account had been cancelled?!? Very shady and terrible way to do business. No one needs to read these AI books.
Focused on Reading, Not Feature Overload
I’m not obsessed with tons of features, so this works for me. It keeps the main thing, reading, front and center.

Customer service is non existent. I cancelled over a month ago, during the trial and I am still being charged. Emails are unanswered.

No major complaints from me. Staread opens fast, responds well, and lets me focus on reading instead of fiddling with settings.
Charged after email for cancellation
I purchased the offer for the week and on the same day submitted a cancellation request via email to them but no they didn’t cancel they took my money a week later.

This app is not great. It is impossible to cancel a subscription if you accidentally subscribe and they do not respond to emails or communication. Very fraudulent app.

I have started some great stories but I am not happy with the fact that after 3 or 4 chapters you have to pay to finish reading. I am tired of finding apps that have great stories to find out they are money hungry just to finish a book. 😪 it’s always the same

Once you purchase a coin on special that’s it’s very very cheap they will keep your credit card detail and will charging you even you can’t the subscription or one time coin top up . The email don’t exist and no one will reply to you even you message them on the app

If I could give this zero stars I would. Because they make it where if you buy a subscription you can NOT cancel it. So when you buy the discount one and you want to end it before it jumps to the ridiculous full price that is way too expensive you can’t and you get charged for it. That’s a mess and very unfair. Bad business practices.

Ridiculous!
I have requested that my account be canceled multiple times and nothing. They keep billing me for an account I do not like or use! Customer service does not help and ignores messages.

Right from the start, the interface made sense to me. That matters a lot because I usually give up on confusing reading apps fast.
