About

## English Not sure where to go for a clear, dark sky tonight? 별보러갈래? ("Shall we go stargazing?") shows you where — and when — the stars will look their best. Compare verified stargazing spots in South Korea and Taiwan by distance, light pollution, elevation and user ratings, and check each spot's Tonight Score, which factors in clouds and moonlight. Traveling abroad? Local weather, the light pollution map and astrophotography settings work wherever you are. Dark mode is on by default, so your eyes stay adjusted to the night. ■ Verified stargazing spots (South Korea & Taiwan) · Only confirmed stargazing locations: observatories, viewpoints, highlands, beaches and more · Search within 50 km / 100 km / 200 km / everywhere, or browse by region · Filter by car access, parking, no hiking required, and Milky Way, meteor shower or astrophotography conditions · Sort by distance, light pollution, elevation or rating, and see everything at a glance on the map ■ Spot details · Tonight Score (0–100): the best time window, based on clouds, precipitation, moonlight, humidity and light pollution · Light pollution level and darkness index from NASA satellite nighttime radiance · Elevation from NASA terrain data · Whether the Milky Way, meteor showers and astrophotography are viable · Access, parking, walking or hiking required, restrooms, night-time hours and safety notes ■ Best places for tonight · Recommendations scored on clouds, precipitation, moonlight, atmosphere and light pollution · Choose your goal: general stargazing or the Milky Way · Start of full darkness, moon phase with moonrise and moonset, Milky Way core altitude, and meteor shower info ■ Night sky weather · Hourly and daily forecasts from the Korea Meteorological Administration in Korea, and from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) everywhere else · Sky conditions, temperature and humidity (with dew and fog alerts) ■ Worldwide light pollution map · Overlay the NASA VIIRS Black Marble nighttime lights map and adjust its opacity · Maps for Korea, Japan and Taiwan are built into the app, so they open instantly · See the radiance value and data year for your current location ■ One-tap directions · In Korea: KakaoMap, NAVER Map, TMAP or Apple Maps · Abroad: Google Maps or Apple Maps · The right options are picked automatically based on where you are ■ Astrophotography settings · Save your camera and lenses to get shutter speed, aperture and ISO suggestions for the Milky Way, starscapes, star trails and meteor showers · Compare exposure limits for pinpoint stars (NPF rule vs. 500 rule) · Find the best shooting window tonight, at home or abroad ■ A star map built together · Sign in with Apple to rate spots, write reviews, suggest new spots and report incorrect information · Report offensive reviews and block users so their reviews no longer appear · No email or name required — only a nickname is shown · Delete your account anytime from within the app ■ Available in 4 languages · 한국어, English, 日本語 and 繁體中文 (Taiwan) · Follows your iPhone's language, and can be changed in the app ■ Good to know · Stargazing spots and recommendations cover South Korea and Taiwan. Weather, the light pollution map and photo settings work in other countries too · Light pollution values measure the brightness of artificial lights on the ground as seen by satellite, which is not the same as sky brightness (Bortle scale) · Access and opening hours can change, so check before you go, and please stay safe at night
