Pretty great…until you’re trying to sync.

The sync isn’t working, up until two (?) days ago everything was syncing to icloud perfectly, now nothing is sync every time i open the app it’s always “Recovering…One restart needed before the next sync try.” “iCloud rejected the last export.” I’ve restarted multiple times by swiping off the app and reopening it like it says, but no matter what…it doesn’t sync. I’m worried i’m gonna lose everything I saved…

I’m sorry the repeated recovery messages have left you worried about your saves. Version 24 includes major synchronization and reliability fixes and has been submitted to Apple. Please update across your devices when it becomes available. If you still see the recovery or export error, contact support through Stash with the exact message and device versions. Please don’t delete your library or reinstall while saved items may still be unsynced.

I’m a fan

I really love this app! I have not had any trouble with sync or things opening in my default browser - Mullvad. I am a fan of the layout/UI, notes & reminders sections, info about when you added something, the ease of moving things from one stash to another - for me, it is an all around perfect app. I’ve used Raindrop, Anybox and Capture - but this is my landing spot. I think it is a well thought out design. No subs, just a nominal one time purchase.
If I had to pick something I do not like about it - I don’t love the “Jump Back In” section at the top. It’s a little distracting to me, but that is purely personal. I’m sure it would be useful for others.

Useful

I have trouble remembering things and I’m extra terrible at coming back to things I’ve saved, mainly because of how unorganized and difficult it is. This app does the hard part for me and makes it easy to save for later the things I need. It is also great that you have many ways to customize how you save things. I definitely recommend this app!

This App is my new favorite thing

This has SAVED me! I LOVE collecting information :) i am constantly sorting through my screenshots and trying to sort via albums and it takes up a lot of storage space. I also have 100s of videos and posts saved in collections, boards and websites across multiple social media sites.
And this app is the PERFECT way for me to have a hub where I can keep posts/videos on the same topic from different apps!! And it doesn’t require me to do a bunch of extra steps or make a spreadsheet ect.

Great idea — has bugs

The application works great from the share sheet, but the app from the springboard is laggy. The communication around syncing is inconsistent, and I lost data when I installed to my iPad on both the iPad and iPhone. I’m sure the app will get better. I might come back at some point to see if it has.

I can’t confirm the state of your library from a review. Please contact support through Stash or stashanything.com before deleting data or reinstalling, especially if another device still has your saves.

As someone who takes hundreds of screenshots and often forgets about them this app is amazing. Great idea, app works flawlessly!

Almost there

I really love the saving workflow but I need better access to what I save through my iCloud Drive. The app is fine for some things but I want to be able to view my images with image browser or search my text with a local llm. Right now it’s just a black box that limits what I can do after I save something and subsequently my use of the app.

Thank you for explaining your workflow. iCloud synchronization and having a browsable folder of original files in iCloud Drive are different things, and I understand why direct access matters for your image browser and local tools. I’ve noted that request. Version 24 includes major synchronization and reliability fixes and has been submitted to Apple; I’m not presenting that update as a new iCloud Drive folder-access feature.

This is something I didn't know I need.

This is an incredible little app.

I use Anybox, but I love this because it lets me separate the things I want to keep pictorially.

It really is functional and helpful.

Very responsive developer who really cares about his app.

I like it so far. Maybe add little bit more explanation as in images are still in iPhone memory just organized better.

Fantastic to use

Absolutely frictionless to add to any workflow. The app itself is intuitive and just makes sense. Will definitely be looking forward to having random junk saved in my notes and camera roll I can never find. After one day of use I saw the value and went with the pro version. Great app

This app is so quick and easy to use sorting things out in folders. It was an instant purchase, once you start using and see how it functions the app will become one of your most used apps. I’m hoping the developer can add a feature to open links and things within Stash Anything, great developer and app.

Incredibly useful

I use it for everything, from storing recipes to keeping up a wishlist to marking web sites I need to revisit. And, now that he has added sub-stashes, it’s even more useful.
But the best part of this app is the responsiveness of the developer.

Pretty good for an obviously vibe coded app

Needs some polish but it works well between my devices. Some small (mostly UI) bugs but I like it.

Surprised the Heck Out of Me

Yeah, the app needs some refinement, but I love the thinking behind Stash Anything. What sold me was simply “stashing” an entire Gemini conversation with a few taps or an IMDB link (in to a TV/Movies “stash” or “Watch Later” folder and then being able to move/use what I’ve stashed elsewhere (even in markdown). I’m still evaluating the use of other apps like Raindrop or even a clipboard manager because Stash could be a great place to triage all the stuff I “collect” during the day on any device. So far so good (but I have a lot of “stash testing” still to do.)

If your further testing turns up a rough edge, please send the details through support so I can look into it.

It’s good when …

Does not work in other browsers such as Zen, or Arc. “Could not read content” every time. Works in Safari however.

Looks like it has great potential!

I really wish there was some sort of trial for the lifetime version. It’s hard to get a full feel for everything without one. Otherwise the app seems nice

EDIT: oh my gosh! My sincere apologies!!! I somehow missed this, I’m visually impaired and wonder if that had something to do with it? I need lots of contrast but either way, you’re a doll and I’m SO SORRY!!

Can you please elaborate on “it’s yours to keep if it’s the app for you?!” Something about going against subscription? I can contact you directly if you don’t mind leaving an email and then I’ll update my review again so all this is taken out! I’m SO SORRY AGAIN!! THANK YOU!

What I was Looking For but Limited Free Options

My camera roll is always crowded with screenshots and inspo so this is the perfect app to not only clear the clutter but organize it into “stashes”. Because of the sheer amount I already have, the free tier looks like it will be quickly exhausted. I’m hesitant to upgrade because of uncertainty about the longevity of the app and the developer’s credibility when it comes to creating a longstanding stable app.

Amazing Organizational Tool

Fantastic app that brings all of your forgotten “watch/read later” lists into one place. Now I actually check my stashed items on a regular basis to act on them instead of letting them sit for eternity.
