Content is great, but the app is very poor. Every single clickable link within an article launches in web vs in the app (meaning you would have to log in on the web site).
This is a simple oversight that should be rectified. Developers/managers at stat (or overseeing outsourced labor) should be ashamed....

Log in to my Stat plus account through this app no longer works (although it works fine via the browser) and there has been no response from customer support yet, several days after submitting the issue

STAT is a wonderful resource for healthcare news. They summarize and communicate information ina. Very easy to understand way. The app is great too. Highly recommend.

What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t show full articles to paid subscribers?
I was trying to read an article on the mobile site, saw an add for the app, downloaded it, and had the app send me back to the mobile site. A waste of time.

you can’t search. there isn’t an option to tap the top of the screen to scroll the way up. maybe the worst best news app i have ever used.
Not STAT +
I pay for STAT+, a very expensive monthly subscription. This app does not do premium subscribers like myself justice. I shouldn’t have to be taken out of the app to read stat plus articles. In fact, being a subscriber should unlock a better more powerful data driven app. Instead it’s just a directly of articles. Good for 2010, horrible for 2021

The app’s description advertises “compelling stories about health, medicine ...” etc and POLITICS and medicine and POLITICALLY slanted stories and health and POLITICS ,etc.
Look elsewhere-there are many websites/apps that report ONLY medical and scientific news without the obvious political bias.

Yikes, they charge hundreds of dollars for a year long subscription and you can’t even sign in with the app.

Great news outlet but problematic app
I love reading the content of Stat and I love the look of it. My biggest problem is the touch sensitivity which cause me to click on an article while scrolling. Even when I’m super careful I still manage to click on the same article many times and have to go back to the feed to keep scrolling. Please fix this !

No text formatting on iPad
Bloomberg, Reuters, and WSJ set the standard for news apps. The stat app on the other hand can’t even format text let alone change font size or at least make the content readable on an iPad. Hard to believe this still happens in 2020. Not worth bothering.

Useless. I’m a STAT Plus subscriber. The app just links to the website for STAT Plus articles. Exactly what I didn’t want in an app.

App not useful & now in the midst of a pandemic crashes constantly. Surely STATNews can do better.
Amazing news source, so-so app
The STAT news is amazing. It is packed with things you cannot find elsewhere, and articles are excellent. The app however needs work. There is no share button, and the only way to share an article is by googling the title. Also the app is overly sensitive to the touch. As I scroll through the articles I always accidentally open a random article.
