It’s good but why complicate it.
I have had a STATSports tracker for about 5 years now, this is my first academy tracker. I don’t know why the set up has to be so complicated. You can go into ASDA and buy headphones for £15, switch it on and go to Bluetooth on your phone and click pair device and you are in business, useable in under a minute, but with this it wants usernames and email addresses and passwords. I don’t think all that is needed, why so complicated ?

This is amazing
I love sports especially football and this allows me to see the statistics of when I’m playing. Truly amazing.
Can’t sync
We purchased this for our sons birthday in April. We have yet to be able to sync to his iPhone which is a new model so not because we don’t have the right spec. He is super disappointed. @statssports what can you do to make this work but at the moment I feel I’ve been totally let down by an unusable product.

Good to see updates with features from Athlete app now working Academy App
Had a few issues switching across from Athlete to Academy App but support desk were helpful in resolving initial issues with setup. Good to see updates coming through that resolve pitch alignment and enable inclusion heatmaps and zone analysis in the Academy App.

Impossible to use
Don’t know why they are doing away with the apex for this. Pure rubbish from what I’ve used. Can’t seem to join a team and doesn’t seem to show as much as apex app. Don’t really know what’s going on with STATSports. Impossible to contact them as well
So far poor - had 4 days and been able to get it so sync to app once!
Not Great
Inoperable with ios 26
The app is unable to sync with the tracking pod. After running iOS 26, the app no longer has the ability to synch with the tracking pod. Every workaround provided by Apex hasn’t worked. Most likely a software issue on their end with the inability to work with Bluetooth under iOS 26.
Update needed
When will the app be updated to fix things and also add missing features from the old app? A new app is supposed to be better not worse
Major downgrade from “Apex” app
Such a downgrade in terms of functionality from previous Apex app. If i had bought a tracker new id return it the app and experience is that bad. Buggy also, month view doesnt work on sessions

The app for me is great, but I would like more programs to be added.
Currently doesn’t work well
I can’t see my heat map, i can’t delete my session to re-import it. It’s not great currently and needs fixing asap.

- Pitch: Fixed to a central point (you need to be able to move it not just rotate and zoom) & Needs to be easier to show where pitch is (be able to use satellite images to actually see the pitch
- Analysis: Can’t see a heat map or how far you covered each half.

Poor
Tracker will not sync despite uninstall and reinstall. Customer services have not got back to me even though it’s been over a week. I’m now aware of lots of bad reviews so not holding out much hope. It was my son’s Xmas present we’re both gutted.
Terrible
Needs a serious update , app constantly just closes . Syncing getting stuck at 5% on the gps device.nearly £300 and have not been able to use this at all since purchasing
