Subscription app only
Calling it a “free” download is misleading when you can’t actually use the features that matter. Plenty of apps let you test their core functions before asking for money—this one doesn’t.
The concept has potential, but the greed completely ruins the experience. If you’re not willing to pay a subscription just to find out whether it works for you, don’t waste your time downloading it.

Hi — fair feedback on the frustration, but one correction: we never call the app free. The App Store listing shows "In-App Purchases" right on the product page, and our description has a dedicated Subscription & Purchase Info section spelling out the Hobby, Pro and Studio plans and credit packs before you download. Generations can't be free because every stencil costs us real AI compute — that's the honest trade behind the pricing. Not Happy - No Communication & No Refund
You via email, and no replies. It works on one of my log ins, and I’ve paid separately for another subscription under different credentials/account.
Not happy and the app is NOT working, I’ve submitted a refund request for the yearly fee I paid $499.99 and all I got back was 0.99 cents. I do not recommend this app.

Hi — we've replied to every one of your emails (three times now), so it looks like our responses are landing in your spam/junk folder — please check there and add support@stencilai.app to your contacts, we're keen to sort this out. Two important clarifications: refunds are handled entirely by Apple, not by us — we never see or decide refund amounts, so the $0.99 vs $499.99 outcome is Apple's decision on your request. Please submit (or appeal) the refund directly with Apple from the device and Apple ID the subscription was purchased on: https://support.apple.com/en-us/118223. About the app working on one login but not the other: your subscription is attached to one account — sign in to the account you want, tap "Restore purchases" in Settings → Subscription, and it will transfer. If that doesn't do it, reply to any of our emails (after checking spam!) and we'll fix it manually.

Cada compra se procesa a través de Apple y requiere tu confirmación explícita en la hoja de pago de Apple (con Face ID o tu código), donde el precio exacto se muestra siempre antes de confirmar. Un cargo de $48.13 corresponde a una suscripción confirmada de esta forma (más impuestos), no a los créditos de $0.99. Si fue un error, no hace falta involucrar al banco: Apple gestiona todos los reembolsos y puedes solicitarlo directamente aquí: https://support.apple.com/en-us/118223 — suele resolverse en pocos días. Hi — sorry for the frustration! Images featuring copyrighted or fictional characters, celebrities, or stills from movies are blocked by our AI model provider content filters (this keeps the app on the right side of copyright/fair-use rules, and it's the same for all AI tools we build on). Two important things: a blocked generation never consumes a credit, so those failed attempts didn't cost you anything — and original content works great: your own photos, client reference photos, animals, portraits, objects, artwork. If you believe credits were deducted for a failed generation, email us at support@stencilai.app with your account ID (Settings → Support) and we'll make it right.

Cada estêncil é gerado com IA de alta qualidade e tem um custo real de processamento por imagem, por isso não conseguimos oferecer gerações gratuitas — mas os exemplos dentro do app mostram exatamente a qualidade que você recebe, e seus créditos nunca expiram. Sobre a conta: a criação de conta já está disponível na maioria das regiões, mas algumas ainda não têm suporte — estamos trabalhando para expandir. Enquanto isso, suas compras ficam vinculadas ao seu Apple ID ("Restaurar compras"), então nada se perde mesmo como visitante. Thanks for the feedback. Each stencil runs on a paid AI model so a fully free version is not possible, but there is a low cost starter pack so you can try real results without committing to a subscription.
