Why check in?
Response from developer
Hello YaliArte, thank you for your honest feedback. We understand that the regular check-in can feel unnecessary at first. There’s a good reason for it, though. The main goal of Steps & Tree is to help you move more each day and build a lasting habit over time. From our experience, it really helps to check in regularly, ideally every day, and keep track of your steps and progress. Without that regular interaction, it becomes much harder to build a routine that sticks. So the check-in isn’t meant to push you toward a purchase. It’s a deliberate part of how the app is designed to support long-term motivation. Best, Tobi from the Steps & Tree Team
I very nice visual for you daily steps

Hello hdbdisjsbf, thank you for your honest feedback. We understand that the app could do a better job of explaining things when you first get started, and we’ll definitely take a closer look at that. Basically, you don’t need to do anything manually to water your tree. When you open the app, your steps are automatically converted into water and stored in your water tank. As long as there’s water in the tank, your tree keeps getting the water it needs and continues to grow. Your streak also increases each day as long as your tree never runs out of water. 😊 You can use the app for free. Purchases are optional upgrades, such as a larger water tank, and aren’t required for your tree to grow. Best, Tobi from the Steps & Tree Team
Cute

Hello christina080165, thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear you like the app overall. We completely understand your point. Especially at the beginning, some of the mechanics could be explained more clearly. Here’s the most important part in a nutshell: When you open the app, your steps are automatically converted into water and stored in your water tank. As long as your tree has water, it keeps growing. Your streak also increases each day as long as your tree never runs out of water. 😊 Best, Tobi from the Steps & Tree Team
