Only good for a day

Doesn’t move past Day 1..

The App is Broken

The App is broken, does not go between days, save your money, not worth it unless they fix it.

App doesn’t work

The app stays in day one. I sent an email to the developers almost one week ago and haven’t heard anything back.

Great App

I’ve used this workout/app numerous times and it works great. No hiccups or errors whatsoever. For the people criticizing the app because you want “to skip a day” that’s not the workout program. Perhaps you lack the mental toughness and dedication for this app/workout. There are other apps and workouts for your skill level and mental toughness level. Best of luck.

Great program, but the app needs upgrading

I’ve run the Pull Up and the Push Up program multiple times over the last decade. Great stuff when you’re in a pinch to increase those numbers.

However, the program lacks the ability to maneuver between days and the functionality sometimes skips days. For example, the push up app is stuck on day, and the pull up app is on day 3, when I started the program yesterday. It should be on day 2. There isn’t a clear way to fix this.

Garbage

Stays on day 1. What a joke.

Not useful

This app doesn’t move your days forward so it doesn’t track your progress.

Stays on day 1 with Zero reps left to do.

This app is completely useless. It never changes to day two to continue the training.

Doesn’t work at all.

The app does not change days on its counter. Well over day 1, but it still shows as the first day. Wasted money.

Doesn’t work

Stuck on day one.

Used To Work

I bought this app years ago and used it for a while, deleted it, reinstalled it and used it for a while, deleted it again, and just recently reinstalled it. It definitely used to work the way it was supposed to. I’m seeing two major problems with it now.
1) It’s supposed to multiply your push-ups by 4 but instead multiplies it by 5 so you have to do the math yourself and enter an incorrect number as your max in order to get the right number for your workout.
2) It doesn’t roll to the next day. It stays on day 1 of 14 and you have to add the reps back in manually.
I also have to Pull-up Push app and it does work as advertised. Here’s the funny thing... I never actually used to Pull-up Push app as intended. Instead of following the protocol, I just did my pull-ups 3-4 days a week and I saw great results with it. The Push-up Push app on the other hand, I followed Stew’s protocol exactly, more than once, and I never saw significant progress with it. I’m not sure why.
If you like doing workouts where you have to complete a certain amount of reps in as few sets as possible, this is good for keeping tracking for you, but the developer really needs to fix it.

Uhhh... what exactly is this supposed to do?

Literally nothing in my case. App asked for my max pushups, conducts a calculation, then tells me how many to do and let’s me know I’m on day 1 of 14. After that, all I can do is add or subtract from what I need to do. The app didn’t roll to day 2, has no way to manually roll to day 2. It’s like it was written by someone intentionally trying to rip people off.
I can see the good reviews so I have to assume at some point it worked. If you’re not going to keep up with the app then take it down. I’m not registering with another site to contact the developer either.
I’ll give you a week to fix it or respond to this review. After that I’m asking apple for a refund and highlighting the app for them to remove.

Don’t waste even a penny on this

This is a scam! £1.99 for a so-called how-to video much better versions of which can easily be found on the internet for free, and some ridiculous training notes presented in a way that looks like someone wrote on a piece of paper in a rush. Struggling to see the value-add / development effort in this to call it an “app”. I can’t believe this was approved by the App Store. Disappointing.

Needs bug fixes

It doesn’t work it’s just stuck and the videos have no sound I tried to reinstall reset even my phone and software is up to date pls help

A

The info that this app supplies can be found on his web page. You just have to manually do the calculations yourself. If I knew this I would not have bought the app, but at the same time it's nice to have all the numbers calculated and scheduled out so you don't have to do any thinking.

Excellent

Awesome app

Ok. Not excellent or outstanding

The underlying training concept here is good and quite simple to understand. I'm grateful that Stew Smith chose to share his expertise. The app, however, isn't that great. All it does is countdown the number of push-ups you've done each day.

Great idea...lacking execution

There is a standard for paid apps. This app does not meet said standard.

There is no clear way to track what you did in prior days. Nor is there really a way to add more pushups to the record if you exceeded the minimum.

The notifications only launch if you just launched the app...I do not need to be reminded to do more pushups when I just did pushups.

If you are going to charge for something, you are going to have to do more than a simple daily reset counter, a basic equation, and a handful of videos.

I look forward to an improved release.

Highly Recommended!

I am on my second iteration of this program. I scored 48 push ups on my first FBI FIT test. The second test, after one cycle of this program, I scored 61. I am on my second cycle and plan to use this through the academy. The FBI protocol for the FIT test is extremely strict. Pushups are not timed however you cannot stop. Even a pause and the event is terminated. This is a great tool for keeping track of your pushups through out the day and during your workouts.

Keeps me accountable!

Love this app, especially the notifications. This app helps me keep accountable with my push-up goals.
