Not as user friendly as it should be

Struggled to get the mower docked. App gave no indication what was amiss. It just refused to do it. Moved base station and it worked. Mapped garden OK. Next day tried to setup a closed zone. App suddenly rebooted and told me to reregister. Shut it down then it let me login. Lost my initial zone and had to start again. Had to reboot mower a lot to finally create a zone, dock and actually mow. Mower has gone down to 11% battery and gave a reset error rather than a push message to recharge.
Not impressed.

So Larry the lawnmower

Excellent does a good job easy to manage the lawn is improving with each cut

Unstable and rigid

Very old fashioned and unintuitive, setting up perimeter and obstacles is a nightmare task due to awful messages, confirmations, unstable connection, lagging, unstable geolocation. It’s very far behind modern Chinese counterparts.

Hard to navigate

Just bought a Stiga Swift and am hoping to use the app to give me a dashboard info. I just don’t understand how it sets up and can’t find info on how to complete the initial setup on my lawn. Am I missing something? Where are the how to instructions. Also the dashboard looks different to what I’ve seen I you tube videos. Is there another app? Help please

Not worth the cost

Over priced mower for what it can do. The app and its tech is very basic .
I bought a Lidl robot for £1000 less and there is no difference in cut.

Good Choice

Just set up and used for the first time and very satisfied with my robot
mower.

Unreliable at times

The lawn mower is great however when trying to manually change a border the app is unreliable. It will also identify an area which you can agree to avoid, however it then says the area is too small!

Pitch mower

After a bit of initial setup back and forth with app restarts and GPS signal acquisition we got Jonah Slomo happy with his base station and getting into it. I had 2 goes at setting the boundary so he wasn’t bumping into the supporters stand or the raised paving. He seems happy to get on with his job now. The app options are excellent and we went for the optimised for large open spaces. Several people have commented on the nice lines he is generating. And I’ve just realised he seem to switch from north-south to east-west which is good to prevent the same spot being a start point in the event there is some disruption to the mow session and he needs to start again.
Still early days here but so far so good!

Super easy set up!

Unboxing and setting the robot up was really quick and easy

Easier to use as the developers understand what is needed

I have been using the Stiga.Go app for three years and have found it increasingly easy to use. The developers keep updating it and it becomes easier to use and has more features added each time.

Very flakey app

The app is so frustrating to use. You spend ages trying to map a zone only to have the app freeze or fail to track the mowers position. All you can do is lose your mapping and start again.

To good for wards

What an amazing piece of kit, my wife loves mowing the lawn

Unreliable

App is unbelievably unreliable. When it Works it works very well but can become unbelievably glitchey

If only buying a car had the same experience as buying a Stiga Robot mower!

We had are new Stiga 3000 installed today and Market Drayton Mowers couldn’t have been more helpful , Giles the owner came with Craig his tech Guy this morning along with Stiga’s own representative Sam Fletcher as back up to oversee operations .

It was a particularly cold morning for March but supplied with plenty of Coffee and biscuits they set about mapping the garden and its many obstacles ( Tree’s and Shrubs planted buy the previous owner ) after a couple of hours Stiga 3000 was ready to mow much to the annoyance of our pet Labrador Dougie who after an hour lost interest in his new playmate and let Stiga get on with the job in hand , already I can see the difference it will make .

The previous owner of our new home used to spend at least 3 days a week on the Ride on mower we negotiated in our sale but after using it several times I realised it was a lot of effort to try to mulch mow on a very large ride on mower and at this point I decided to checkout the various options for GPS Robot Mowers .

As a retired Engineer it didn’t take long to decide on the Stiga 3000 as even some of the more expensive options weren’t as well engineered as the Stiga 3000 and the software wasn’t as well thought out as Stiga with to much reliance on radio waves unlike the Stiga 3000 which has a SIM in both the Robot mower and the Antenna .

I’m now looking forward to a summer of sitting on our patio with Family , Pets and Friends watching poor old Stiga doing all the hard work whilst relaxing .

Thank you Stiga & Market Drayton Mowers 👍

Terrible

It works occasionally but needs lots of checking, very unreliable, it’s a shame as Stiga used to have a good product and name but not now, it’s not reliable, well made or easy to use. Every product I’ve had of Stiga in the last 3 years has not lasted more than a year before needing to be repaired under warranty or broken. Will not by another product with the Stiga name on it until they improve quality and performance.

Now works quite well

I have used this app with my mower for over a year. Whilst it wasn’t very good at first they have worked hard on it and I now think it’s great.

Excellent product

Machine and app both work flawlessly now it has been installed correctly

Bloody useless

When the mower works, it’s great.
However, it frequently “moves” the garden in its memory, leading to the mower getting stuck.
There are no notifications to the phone, so you don’t know when it’s stuck, then the battery of the mower runs out and it has to be charged again.
The mower stops in the garden for no reason? And once again, the battery runs out.
You can’t alter the perimeter in the app, you have to start the whole registration process again.
The accuracy of the edge cutting isn’t a few centimetres, it’s 20cm at best.
Most of what is advertised either doesn’t work, or is coming “in the next update”
I have had 2 updates to both soft and firmware so far, and it’s still as unreliable as it was when first installed.
I’m probably going to return it as not fit for purpose.

Would love to use it

But the device page opens with a Stiga loader across the entire screen that just never goes away…

Response from developer

Good evening, this bug is solved with the last release, already available in the Apple store. Sorry for the inconvenience Thank you

Vastly improved

App is now effective for normal setup and use. Looking forward to development particularly around adjustments to perimeter.
