Good Start But Needs More Development
As it is, the app works but has only enough functionality to tantalise without providing some key functionality that would make this a more serious competitor to its rivals.
Firstly the Cooker should be able to be a device on a local WiFi network with proper secure login credentials rather than be a AP itself with weak security. This would mean that fiddling with the phone to change WiFi networks would not be required after initial setup.
Next, user entered recipes should be able to be sent to Thermo Cooker even if that is only one recipe at a time as it is being used and only stored permanently on your phone (not necessarily stored in the Cooker although that would be better). Once you are cooking I don’t want to be touching my phone I want to drive the Cooker from its own screen.
There should be a facility to import and export recipes from the App enabling sharing recipes across multiple devices.
Just these few simple additions in functionality would take this Cooker to another level that would greatly increase its appeal IMHO.

Easy to use
We bought the Sterling Thermo Cooker from Aldi for my daughter for Christmas. We have been working through the recipes on the app, after syncing them with the cooker.
Love the ease of use of the cooker and recipes.
If we could add our own recipes or if there was a bigger range than just 300, I would give it 5 stars.
As it is, we also signed up for the Vorwerx Thermomix Cookidoo app as there are more recipes to choose from.
I would also like to see the option to select and save recipes and send the ingredients to a shopping list (with a print option) so that I could create and shop for a weekly menu.
