Don’t buy this for painting patterns unless you’re willing to gamble on quality.
Look, I understand they need to make money, but this is ridiculous. The only thing you can actually do in this app on the free version is convert photos to cross stitch…which can be done for free without the annoying pop up every five seconds online. To be fair it does this fine, which is why I gave it two stars, but I will not pay the app developers to be able to paint with their app. The painting feature’s paintbrush is locked behind a paywall, meaning you cannot determine if the painting even works correctly without being forced to pay 40$ for the privilege of testing. Aka, you cannot use the app for the feature most of us are probably downloading the app for unless you’re willing to gamble on it being a good app.
Also, the pop up. Christ. 100,000 lines of code and you can’t code a painting app to not kick you out half the time when you accidentally trigger the popup?

Best Cross Stitch App
I love this app. My favorite feature by far is when you can select the colors you don’t want. But before you do, you can see where that particular color is on the chart which helps determine if you can get away with not having that color or not. I already have a program on the computer which I have had for years and done loads of charts/cross stitch on there. I have to say this app surpasses that easily! The fact that you can upgrade to the paid version for one price and not have a subscription is the best!

Fantastic
I don’t often review apps but this one is fantastic. I’ve used it to convert photos as well as draw simple patterns. It’s intuitive to use and very well thought out.
Really good app, not perfect
I’m really enjoying this app, but there are a few improvements I would make if possible. One simple one would be to “highlight” everything of a single color when I choose that color, especially when importing a photo. It would make it far easier to determine if a color should be eliminated. Occasionally there are only a few stitches in that color but they are really important to the stitch out (highlights in eyes comes to mind).

I have an apple device just for this app
As the title says! I’ve made the switch to android, but you best believe I’ve bought a cheap iPad mini just to have this app.
I’ve tested all the cross stitch apps on google and Samsung, and can confirm this app is the only one I will EVER use.

Changed PDF usage
I’ve used Stitchly for years to keep up with a lot of different projects. They now give a message when you try to upload a file that says they are designed for creating your own patterns, and won’t let you upload pattern pdfs to work on. I have tons of files I work out of that were uploaded from pdfs, including an 80 something page Zelda Tapestry pattern. This change really makes the app useless for how I use it unfortunately. I’ve never had any luck using the app to “design” my own patterns, but to keep up with my progress on my patterns, for knitting, crochet, cross stitch, etc.

From a Slightly off-label user…
I use Stitchly to create charts for single unit drawloom weaving. I love all the cut, copy, paste, flip, and so on. My only dream function would be the ability to print landscape, as well as format, so my chart squares print out larger; I don’t mind multiple pages. My current chart maxes out the size limit, so I’m weaving halfway in and then back. Ok, another request - being able to highlight (vertically) every 5 or 10 columns, because I am working across an entire row picking drawcords (all 120 of them) and it makes it easier to keep track of where I am.

I love this app
This app is so fun so amazing. I get my patterns done and I enjoy it while I do it so thank you. Spiritually for the amazing work that you guys let us do as creators. Thank you so much.
only one complaint
I love this app!! I use it for all my needlepoint projects! The only thing is that projects aren’t saved to an account, they’re saved to the device you started designing the project on. I would love if the projects could automatically load onto a Stitchly account so that I can have all my projects on my iPhone and iPad, without having to do a Stitchly backup.

Love it!
I really love this app. It would be really great if there wasn’t a limitation of the dimensions of the pattern. I have a few larger pieces I cannot add due to size constraints. Otherwise, no complaints. The app is easy to use and exactly what I need to manage my projects.
Stitching
BEST cross stitch app!!! I don’t convert photos or make my own patterns but for stitching, perfect.
Great app
Great app! I use it all the time, the developers are also great and open to feedback. They updated the app upon a recommendation of mine and I’m so grateful. App does exactly what I need!
FlossCross is free and does the same thing if not more.
Honestly, I prefer FlossCross over this app as this is way too complicated for me to use. Not to mention I’m not paying for a program when there’s a similar one for free, that arguably easy to use too.
No funciona
Quieren que pague por la app pero ni en la prueba funcionó
Genuinely changed my life
I wouldn't have called myself an artist before I started using this app. I started Wrestling with Stitches a month or two after downloading this app and I haven't looked back. The app was simple enough for me to pick up the art of pattern making pretty quickly but also has enough tools to make it so my patterns have only gotten more detailed over time. I use this app almost every single day. It's also great for exporting images of my patterns as PNGs that I use to make stickers. It's honestly worth every single penny.

It needs some features
It’s not compatible with .OXS, so it doesn’t work for me if I want to combine it with other software. It doesn’t have layers, among other issues. They say they’re going to update it, but I haven’t seen any changes. If they update these points, I’ll change my rating.
Great App for converting images to Cross Stitch
I really do love this app. I have created several patterns already from images that I would like to stitch as gifts. It not only gives you the posted out. It gives you the measurements of the finish P full color chart to stitch from and a shopping list to tell you all of the colors that you will need to stock for your project. It’s an amazing product and I’m very glad that I paid for it. BY THE WAY…….I went through about 8 similar apps before finding yours and was extremely disappointed in all of them. Then I found Stitchlt and I am working on stitching my 3rd pattern from your app. I’d love to post pictures, but there is nowhere to do that.

Add a feature
I love the app but I’m not sure where to submit suggestions for improvement. I’d love to see options to create patterns with glow in dark thread. I’m planning to create some glow in dark surprise patterns but I’ll have to manually edit documents once exported to change the dmc number to the glow in the dark thread.

Best cross stitch app
Absolutely love this app. Worth every penny to buy the full version. I’ve designed or digitized over 300 patterns and this app is absolutely perfect for what I need. I love that I can mark off my progress for a project as I go and that I can easily go back and adjust the pattern if/when I realize that I missed stitches in the og pattern. I love how frequent the updates are and the fact that I can download my patterns to a pdf file is fantastic. I do wish there was a way to access my patterns online so I could download them more easily on my laptop but there are work around for that so it’s not a huge deal
