My favorite game, but…….
I loved this game as a kid. My friends and I would play for hours. The calculator was invented it made it 1000 times better. I still love it a lot.
Now to the “but” part. I have figured out the algorithm and I’m able to play the same exact game for over 100 Rolls. Both the Computer and I get the same sequence of rules endlessly. I spent a few hours riding down each role for both me and the Computer. I know this sounds insane, but there’s a way to make the game start the same way repeatedly. I won’t detail it here.
At any rate, I still love this game tremendously and have played it literally thousands of times since I bought it for $.99. A steal in my book.
Thank you so much for figuring out how to make it available electronically.
Some larger, bank notes and share notes would be greatly appreciated.

Dice are not rigged
I think the algorithm reflects the true odds of each dice roll.
If in doubt, create a table for each dice roll and observe if there is a major deviation from real dice probability.
It would be more work to create a mathematically non-natural bias different between human and AI and it serves no purpose. The bias is in the user's perception IMHO.

It a lot of fun BUT…
This game is great and follows the board game well. However, the dice rolls are clearly rigged here. In some other games you can choose a “bias” for the dice or choose fully random… I sure wish you could do that here.
Great Game - Dice still Rigged
I loved playing this game back in high school. So much so, my friend and his mom extended the game by creating larger currencies and creating some minor house rules (e.g. buying 1 share was assumed). This digital version is great and I keep coming back to it even though the dice rolls are not random. The developers should either 1) fix the dice rolls so that they are truly random 2) generate pre-rolled dice (say 10,000), shuffle those and then doll out the dice sequentially like cards.

Works Beautifully
Despite some comments I've seen, I have managed to build my wealth up to almost 3.6 quadrillion. It gets difficult to sell fast enough when shares reach very high in the billions but the key is to always have enough cash on hand to survive the corner...barely enough cash is BEST. After surviving the corner sell only as much of your stocks as you need to barely survive the next corner ONLY IF you're within 12 spaces of it. Sell stock only when on the high side if possible. This method maximizes your wealth in stocks at all times...which is how you make all your money. Also don't accumulate too much excess cash because idle cash does nothing. Buy tons when on the low side when possible but always buy what you don't have regardless. The computer DOES NOT favor itself I have found. Just prepare in advance and you'll do very well.

Great game
Best game ever, buy it!
Great game perfect adaptation of a classic
Love this game. Just wish I could play it on my phone. Those complaining about the dice are crazy. I play against all AI and nearly never hit the sell all squares. The long and short of it is after every multiplier you have a 3 square run of squares that punish you. That’s roughly a 1 in 4 chance of hitting them give or take depending on how far away from it you are

Probability issue
As some others have written there is some kind of dice/probability issue I land on undesirable spaces at least 10 times as much as the computer player.
Excellent game
I’ve really enjoyed this game- it’s simple but nuanced. Very good for honing your judgement skills,
Random dice
I know for a fact every single time I am in 2-1 spot, the next dice roll will be “sell all shares”, 1,2, or 3 for 1 spots are a curse. Make dice actually random and I will wear this game out! Just fix the dice! I left review year or so ago with same suggestion. I see I am also not the only one to notice.

Want to like but...
I loved this game as a kid, so finding it was awesome. But all the other reviews are right. Dice rolls are not random. After 10 games, it's obvious the AI is quite a bit "luckier" at all times.
Example being I get 3for1 and the next two rolls from AI send market down 40 total points making my newly acquired shares practically worthless. Watched it happen twice.
Plenty other examples. Aside from that, gameplay is solid. Hard to see the stock names on the squares though and color coding your portfolio would be helpful.
Fix the randomness of the die rolls and this becomes 5star. Until then, 2 it is.

Updated review 6/16/17
My review at the bottom says it all!
Thank you for the update, for now I can play on my iPad mini 4.
I have to say that I'm really impressed with this board game and kicking myself for not buying sooner. Seems whatever the minor issues people were talking about before of this game was taking care of in the most recent update. During my few couple of games after purchase, not once did I experience a problem on my iPad 3. There are so many different board games available on iOS and am glad to add this to my very small collection of board game apps.
Hope to see some more board games from Mr. Beggs in the near future.

Please update
This app soon won't be working on iPads unless you do. Love the app
Great game
Brings back my childhood.
Option to sell billion shares or 1/2 of shares would be a great addition. Dice rolls don't seem very random. Many times I'll roll a 2 and end up on a corner, and have to sell as gazillion shares.

Omg I grew up playing this board game
Ok so I grew up playing this, it's so old my mum played it when she was a child! I have now got three different versions and funnily enough I paid more for this one than I did the physical ones. But it is well worth the 1.69 I paid.
This is just the original digitised. Love the fact that there television fictional companies to play with.
I played this on my own last night for hours. I LOVE that it has an option to play a CPU.
THIS is so awesome because I can play this when I'm out or waiting at the hospital for my dad.
Is there an option to play against other people who play through the App Store?
Thank you so very much for this!! You are a saint.

It's not rigged
You just have to play the game right. The thought of it being rigged is so dumb.
Luck, lots of it
The idea is nice enough, but the game just doesn't let you decide much. You may sell before you play. Play. Sometimes, you get to choose between two possible paths. Results: Maybe you get to buy, but you could often be paying a fixed fee, selling all your shares at a fixed price, or benefiting from a fixed stock duplication.
So... The game is about 70% luck, 30% decision-making. Very low, considering i like to use my brains. It takes only 15 minutes to play, so it can be a quick distraction.

Rigged
Like another reviewer said, when playing a computer opponent, you repeatedly land on the broker fee square. That and along with landing on the sell all consistently as you leave the shareholders area, makes this game unplayable.
Excellent implementation
Gerry Beggs did an exceptional job of capturing the essence of the original board game. We began playing the original board game in the late 60's and continued for years as a family holiday tradition. Wore out two board games. This is a good old fashioned fun board game, not intending to be a stock market simulation learning tool. Hours of enjoyment for $.99, now
that is a value. One caution...it is addictive.
