Refreshing updates
This is the way to go with the library with a nice interface & easy click through links for Eresources. The website is still fully functional & can be used from a laptop.
Terrible app!
The old website was a lot better than the new updated one and app. Previously you could see a list of your historic activity - borrowings, reservations etc. It also highlighted if you’d previously borrowed a book before when searching for it. Now it’s as though we’ve gone back to basics. I understand if the app is for bare basics only but why is the website so basic as well? Revert back to the old website- the new is also hard to navigate as well.

Frustratingly bad
This app is terribly unreliable. When first released literally nothing worked. The app recently got to work at a basic level. No longer! Now refuses to allow me to reserve a book, all I get are error messages. My local library now tell me not to bother with the app, they’ve had so many complaints and they recommend using the desktop web version.

Re-write now working - very useful app
Following my review on 12 December detailing why the errors in the app meant it wasn’t able to be used, I reloaded the latest version and am happy to say they have been fixed.
I can now use the app.
However, there is one missing feature which needs to be implemented.
When you reserve a book, a status of pending remains until the book is available to be collected. In the original application and on the website the “rank” shows where you are in the queue. This is important as it provides an indication of how long or how short the waiting time will be. Very important for all book club members.
